- Cost of living in Singapore - Most expensive country.
Singapore is a country of clean and tidy streets, low crime rates, and booming businesses. You will find a unique blend of Asian and Western cultures in this country in southeastern Asia whose capital city shares the same name as the country. The country on the island of Singapore which achieved independence from Malaysia in 1965 offers something for everyone there to make expats and other foreigners feel at home.

This video is as direct as it can get. Concise, and informative enough. Just to clarify a few things:
1) Rentals for a 2bhk in a condo starts from $3500/$3700 as I post this comment.
2) Cost of groceries/food depends heavily on the location of your workplace as a meal in a hawker centre costs upwards of $7, a restaurant meal for our Indian belly’s will cost anywhere upwards of $15. If you’re a full-time employee, most often you’d have 1 meal outside (lunch) and another to take home (dinner). Breakfast is optional as most just grab a bun or kaya toast in the morning. So most often, the only groceries one might buy is milk, curd, eggs, juice, bread, and some snacks.
Thanks for sharing the insight
Are rents really that high 😢
@@manpreetbrar4327 Yup, they are. As I type this comment, the rental market is slowly stabilising but I don't foresee prices going back to what they were. The units renting for $1500 are currently going for $2700. The market will stabilise at around $2400.
@@manpreetbrar4327 yes, Rents in singapore are really very high. You can visit website like 99.co and property guru for more details .

I was surfing propertyguru out of curiosity and i found an HBD flat, 1 bath 1 bed 136sqft for S$900, and i thought it might be a scam or fake or something, what you think of that price ?
HDB 1 bed 1 bath may be either in a sharing apartment with landlord or other tenants. Getting a separate studio apartment be it a HDB in 900$ is next to impossible.
Talk to the guy who has posted the listing but be very aware of the recent scams which is going in the property market, never transfer money without physically visiting the property.
Ask for a physical visit, check the documents be it PUB bills and then only make any payment.
If I come to Singapore on a study visa, will I be able to get a job there?
Yes most students get visa to work, if you are opting for some degree in technical field then surely without any concern you will get a job, for other fields there are ample opportunities available
I can tell she is from India, based on the accent.
Yes of course Michael, I am from India 🇮🇳 😊but currently staying in Singapore 🇸🇬
Hi mam
1bhk hdb
8500 sgd is good salary ?
If you are coming alone than it can be manageable but if coming with family it would be very difficult.
@@Desitopardesi thanxs,so in this case for a couple worth it?
@@khronnus7193 for couple you can still consider and can stay in a shared apartment. Master room will cost you around 1800-2000 sgd with extra 100 sgd as utilities bill. If looking for a separate unit then take 3000-3500 as budget.
Rest other expenses depends on your personal preferences.
No need to come to Singapore
That depends on the monthly salary you get and your preferences. Singapore is a good place to live peacefully and very safe.
Thanks 😊
