Korn is an American nu metal band from Bakersfield, California, formed in 1993. The band's current lineup includes founding members Jonathan Davis (vocals, bagpipes), James "Munky" Shaffer (guitar), Brian "Head" Welch (guitar, backing vocals), and Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu (bass), with the addition of Ray Luzier, who replaced the band's original drummer, David Silveria. Korn was originally formed by three of the members of the band L.A.P.D.
Can we talk how great drummer Ray Luzier is?

15-20 years ago Ray was among Thomas lang, johnny rabb who started in humble beginning he used to be in "how to play drums" magazine with DVD. Pretty cool to see how far he come now with the korn.
Yeah he's solid but I don't think anyone could ever replace David. Where is Fieldy??
JD is a beast. Here to stay is a really tough song to sing because there are barely any breaks to take a breath. He has some real vocal control. Also, the band sounds so tight with Mudvayne's bassist
And no false note ever, he is stunning live.
Nothing against fieldy, he’s great especially for playing Korn. But it speaks to just how good Ryan Martinie is when your fill in bass player is better than the guy that’s always been with them

@@pigeye133 how do you tune down a bass? I didn't even know that was a thing i dont play guitar so thats why i ask
@@claymack1109 they didnt TUNE it down they TURNED the volume down. also everything you hear in korn is tuned down bass, feildy has to make the pitch of his bass lower to match the 8 string guitars. and they do that by lowering the pitch of the thickest string to a desired key.

Even if you were the best in your shit.
I like this comparison on the surface, but it doesn't really hold. Klinghoffer distanced himself from Frusciante a lot. He was a great writer on his own and wasn't trying to be anything that John was, he didn't show off and be like "Hey, John, look at how boring I thought your parts were!" Ray seems like he's doing way too much, not that he's bad, but he's going full flash on these parts and it doesn't work. Josh would never.

Tim Donavan Yea ryan filled in for feildy for a while at that time i dont exactly remember why feildy wasnt in the band but i think it was for the same reason why head wasnt in the band for a while
Fieldy was back home after his wife gave birth to I think their 4th? child so Ryan stepped up to the plate :D
