I need to schedule a call to get some insight so i can place an order on this and other add-ons. you're the man! thanks
Just an FYI, most dealers and shops will not install used safety modules. They become a liability issue, so it not that they can’t or trying to scam, it’s because they’ve most likely been in a lawsuit and want to avoid liability if something goes wrong. Been in the industry for 20 years and seen some crazy lawsuits.
I understand lawsuits but these policies are extended to nearly EVERY module in the vehicle such are BCM, ECM, Radio..
Id like to hear a safety concern of using a perfectly good used radio...
These policies were not generated out of safety concerns even if there might be some valid reasons due to litigations..
BTW currently many ABS modules have no availability with no forcasted availability nationwide.
Either way, they use terms such as "burned in once" or "married to the vehicle " to strengthen the scam.
@@globalcommerce7654I have an 18 dodge Cummins abs module on order since September 2023 from dealership
Yes obviously it’s common knowledge, but it’s based on BS scare tactic nonsense. Is an ECU or TCU is not a “safety module”? But they’re replaced all the time with used units, you realize cars are sold on main dealer and used car lots everyday all over the world with “used modules” of all types installed in them. If there is something wrong with the HW that the electronics are controlling it will set an error condition, nothing about rewriting or cloning that module with a VIN number so it communicates another of the same vehicle is ever going to affect how it functions. Just like when the OEM’s screw up on their end and have to issue recalls for their screw up they don’t replace electronic modules they update the SW for that module. Which in all transparency most of the time is a bandaid at best, if you didn’t already know.
You know that brand new parts more often than you’d think come bad out of the box. If you’re worried about lawsuits in your place of business have your customers sign release forms, which releases you from any sort of liability.
As we move into the future of personal mobility and what they is going to look like in ten years, there will be no new electronic control module availability for older ICE powered vehicles that folks may want to hold onto. Guess what happens to those “safety module” electronics. A company grabs them up and repurposes them into remanufactured control modules. Which will somehow be different from used how??
Point is modern day electronics are robust, have built in error checking. Cloning, flashing, and reprogramming electronics is not at all a new concept it doesn’t matter what those electronics control, they’re designed to be able to be reprogrammed. From the automotive industry, to medical diagnostics industry, to the world’s largest power production industries you have reprogrammable electronics that are controlling their key functionality.
However, the automotive industry remains the only place you have this sort of misinformation and taboo scare tactic rhetoric nonsense from top down on what can and cannot be accomplished which no other industries share thankfully or we’d be still living in the Stone Age and advancements in medical diagnostics and green energy technology that have been made would have never been possible.
You are the man for the job.
You are super awesome thank you for your effort, keep it up.
This helps, right on brother
You rock...seriously

I see that is an offline version. What are the limitations compared to online version?
@@globalcommerce7654 Can you please tell me the difference between online and offline version that you are selling? What are the limitations on the offline version? Thanks!
Will yo do remote programming for 2023 RAM ECU replacement?
Yes, what equipment do you have?
@commerce7654 What I have is the normal Witech system. But very interested in the CDA and global version of micropod. My only concern is how to hook the units on bench. Does the CDA give wiring connections and if i pay the membership fee do i get support for such things- use, resources( connection diagrams, etc, procedures, etc)
Out of context.... shops have the right to refuse to install uaed parts
I understand what you are doing...just keep the value up... whatever you do, DO NOT devalue the industry or the service we provide 👍👍
You're in the right field and the correct channel, the complexity of modern vehicles is only going to increase. In the next 5-10 years the traditional mechanic role is going to be nearly extinct as everything in the automotive industry is nearly 100% digitalized. This will only increases complexity hence higher service/ maintenance/diag costs on the consumer end. It's inevitable.
Great work I need Chrysler files how much cost me
