Here's something interesting. It feels like the book and movie Coraline is what boosted Neil Gaiman to fame and got Everyone knowing he is when in fact he's actually been writing and publishing books since the 80's and Coraline was just another addition to the bundle.
He wrote Good Omens with Terry Prachet in 1990. Even Stardust came out beforehand in 1999 and was made a movie first. It has Michelle Phiffer in it. She is absolutely beautiful.
Oh my god, I love his library! I am so insanely jealous, and i don't get jealous that often. I must now come up with a fiendish plot to divest him of his beloved "dungeon".
JG Ballard is good too(I've only read a few books of his, but I thought they were all well written). Gaiman and Ballard tread some similar ground, but have enough differences to make the comparison a bad one.
Omg what an amazing book collection 😭😭😭😭 I have so much in common with this man 😭😭 except the success haha He is lovely but he sounds like a quiet storm ❤
Coroline actually gave me a nightmare the first time i saw it lol and I was 18 yrs old lol the reason why was yea sure its kinda creepy but at the same time the character is very much alone and it felt like that spongebob episode where hes alone at the bus stop. Sure there are people around the character but she very much was alone.
It must be disheartening to notice that moronic people are able to digest one's writing. On the other hand, I am incredibly envious, no jealous of such a talented writer fans or no who can get that blimmin' book out.
just my feeling, dint put them in those words, though: better than [censored], well, better than choclate. :D btw it's no shame; its highest mark genius if one's work is adored by morons And by upper-smart ppl. best bit: my weirdness meter just broke. :D if i met neil gaiman, i'd'nt know what to say, i'm afraid. to say 'luvvvv you, i mean yer books' is just lame. to say 'you, sir, are a genius' - he knows that, and also lame. oh, actually i have a question: did he read Astrid Lindgrens ...dmn...whatsisname in american...Billy smth. orginally Kalle Blomkvist. u know, storys about boy detective and his friends, the one where he and his friend eva-lotta were locked up in this old manor house and he did same trick to unlock the door as Bod in this bad man's shop when he tried to flog the ruby brooch. graveyard book. and if he did, gaiman, i.e., did he just nick that bit from dame Astrid, or borrowed it? maybe not even knowing where he found it? ;)
Neil always strikes me as the kind of dude who is super intelligent, but has zero ego about it. He's like a happy version of Alan Moore lol
This lol
Lool accurate
He's the anti-moore
Ha! Love Moore but Gaiman is more original
"He's like a happy version of Alan Moore" I love that
He actually got inspiration for Coraline’s home based on his own!
That’s kinda cool
At 21 years old, Neil Gaiman's childrens' stories are among the few childrens' stories I still find enjoyable as an adult.

Favorite Author Hands Down
♡ I LOVE Neil Gaiman!!! He's an incredible writer ♡
I love the Graveyard Book! It's an amazing read and I love many of his books :)

🖤 Neil Gaiman’s work. Especially Sandman.
Red American Gods so many times over I've lost count. I will read anything this man writes.
Almost everything he's ever written is great.
Golden Age Sandman was the most twisted thing ever. So subtle until you think about what was really going on in those comics.
Gaiman gives high praise to the late, great Gene Wolfe. I second that
Sandman should be part of high school curriculum, I’ve been saying that for 20 yrs..
As far as fantasy goes, its Neil Gaiman and C.S. Lewis.
Love the Coraline movie and Book
Damn I've been here since 2010 don't let them take my eyes
He lives in Minnesota! AHHH!
JG Ballard is good too(I've only read a few books of his, but I thought they were all well written). Gaiman and Ballard tread some similar ground, but have enough differences to make the comparison a bad one.
how's your life now 10 years later after a pandemic?
0:00 he's got the psychedelic art work.
2:52 heyyy he kinda resembles H P Lovecraft 🤔
Ehm, not sci-fi, but fantasy.
1:15 can anyone tell me what kind of fountain pen is that?
Kinda looks like a Pilot 823, not sure though because he also uses a Lamy 2000 and he said in an interview that he likes Visconti.
It's a Pilot 823. It's the main one Neil Gaiman uses. Pretty sure it's the only one he uses nowadays.
@AlicexCam He is married to Amanda Palmer, so to quote Basil Fawlty, "Naturalment!"
5:00 HEADCRAB FUCK YES!
Omg what an amazing book collection 😭😭😭😭 I have so much in common with this man 😭😭 except the success haha
He is lovely but he sounds like a quiet storm ❤
He also wrote the new show good omens
Someday, I'll be a best selling author too
Who painted that painting on his wall? Looks familiar somehow...

Lol the man has a periodic table of elements on his desk. 1:11
The ending hahaha. Thats another way to tell viewers to subsribe

He's not a patch on JG Ballard.
Duran Duran was a New Romantics band not a rock band.

No one has ever sold millions of novels.
No one has ever lived that long.
Let’s be honest we are all here for school
Mispronounced his name
neil gay man haha gottem
Who lets their kid ride a tricycle over peoples graves? Pretty disrespectful
Pretty much everywhere is a graveyard, just because there’s a few headstones doesn’t mean much.
I've lived in Edinburgh, people do tons of stuff in graveyards way more disrespectful that having a walk with your child
I gotta tell you man, the only people that would care are living. I don’t think the dead mind having the earth above them traveled upon.
the child isn't trying to hurt them or be disrespectful. it's a child.
Please read Quran before it’s late
