..ah - ' a group portrait' - my VHS - copy is collecting dust, so grateful I can watch it here - still can't believe Pat is gone - sad.. such inspiring individuals - MR. BIG - forever!!!
Pat Torpey, what great guy! You were taken from the world way too soon! You are missed! Would have loved to see you play with MB on their end of the road tour! 🙏🏻❤
I remember as a 10 year old kid growing up in the 90’s I saw all these Mr. Big websites thinking they were just as well known and popular as U2, Bruce Springsteen, The Rolling Stones or any other band that was popular in the USA unaware at the time that all those websites were by foreign people who knew about them in other countries. And because of this, I kept hoping that Mr. Big would get their own episode of Behind The Music, and they never got one. :(
hahaha love it but they could never get a Behind The Music cause they don't shoot up heroin, bang hookers and get arrested. As for popularity in the USA. I think they never got big with the rock/metal crowd cause of To Be With You. When that song came out every 12 yo girl loved Mr. Big so all of the older guys who would of liked them, stayed away.
@@joshhill5932 I don't agree entirely - The Lean Into It album had already been out for a year before TBWY was a hit and there was the debut album before that, so there was plenty of time for "the older guys" to get into them. It did seem even at the time that most of the interest in them came from bass and guitar players and they were largely ignored by the average rock fan. It's a shame - I felt they should have been a lot bigger, although they played large theatre shows in the UK and Europe, they were in clubs in the US for the most part.
Thanks! Ive wondered why its never surfaced on here before. One of the best home videos of any band. Wish they had released it on DVD. Hope it stays up
@Texas Surfer why didn't you just keep your VCR? I still have mine. I watch a lot of obscure 80's horror so it's a handy device to have as there's quite a lot that became forgotten and were never reissued to DVD. Same with band home videos.
Ive always loved Mr. Big from thier first album on. Pulled me me through some tough times for sure. Not crazy about the Kotchen replacement and RIP Pat but its still not the same without the 4 original members. Love all of thier music and Ill still listen to them of course, but Ill always remember thier first albums. They rocked!
This is amazing! Thanks for the upload brother 😃 They also had another long form video”Lean into it-the videos”think it was called. Would anybody be able to put it up too??
*** Nominate Mr. Big!! *** Write to Rock & Roll Hall of Fame / 1100 Rock & Roll Blvd./ Cleveland, OH - 44114. We the F- A- N-S owe it to to them & to the memory of Pat Torpey to get Mr. Big inducted! They are long-deserving of the 31+ yrs recognition. Get your friends to write in also, the more nominations that are received, will get them inducted! Thank you!!
Billy Sheehan's voice sounds like a bass also.
One of the best band that plays right-in-tune LIVE just as in studio! With only 4 band members yet the musics sound so full and complete!
The more I know their work and their personalities, the more I like these guys.
Eric, I love you to the moon and back, to the moon again and back again, to the moon again and back agaaiinn....❤❤❤❤
This is like liquid Gold ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I aspire to find me a man just like Pat Torpey. He was such a beautiful, sexy man. He seemed like such a stand up guy and he was insanely talented x

Billy Sheehan’s voice is extremely similar to that of Tico Torres from Bon Jovi when he talks.

It was, during sessions for the Bump Ahead album.
Does anyone have tabs for 24:47
The singer looks like sid vicious.

23:12
Paul Gilbert used to have a lisp?
K
Damn Eric sounds like woman when he talks back in the day
I wonder why Paul left 🤔 Mr big..
Because of continuing tensions and disagreements within the band and the desire to start a solo career.
