Thank you for this Ron. I designed a companies website while I was working with them using webflow but after I left, the new guy was not comfortable with webflow and only knew how to use wordpress. With this I can integrate the sites together and everybody wins 😁😁

For a Webflow-like experience in Wordpress, try Oxygen builder. It's a VERY lightweight page builder just like Webflow. Best of both then.

Hi Ran, thanks for the insight. I tried the plugin when it came out few weeks ago, but I really don't understand why people think it's a gamechanger. I think there is nothing beneficial about that, I mean it's not like you can now save up on the hosting since you still have to pay for a hosting plan to get more than 2 sites and so on. And if the client pays for hosting then why bothering with redirecting the pages. It just creates an extra step. Publishing directly via Webflow just makes more sense to me. It's such a great service.
Maybe just having one hosting plan with Webflow it workes for all Wordpress.
@@andreucasals Rather just connect wp api with an exported file from webflow. You'll need to code a bit, but wp's api is pretty fast with plugins causing little to no bloat.

Webflow will mature and surpass Wordpress one day. It is an amazing platform. I looked down on it since it's inception. Then I tried it. They claim no code status, but I disagree. If you don't know how to build a site from the bottom up with, html, css, and js...I don't see how you can make anything in webflow. It is a short cut for developers. A great one. Build and export your code. Classnames will be a little wonky, but what a time saver.
If the hosting prices weren't so ridiculous, I'd agree.

I am using the integration to WordPress that you have shown here. It works pretty well, but now I want to add a form inside WordPress that nicely fits into my Webflow design. I know I can add forms in Webflow, but on a free plan, I am limited to 50 submissions per account. Does anyone else have the same issue?

You can probably remove the “built with weblow” tag with custom css in wordpress.
Udesly came out with a really big new update @Ran that is web-based.

oxygen creates great code and is very similar for handling to webflow... elementor is heaven for designing but the code generated is not the best. BUT I STLL LOVE WEBFLOW!!! Would love to have something as easy as elementor with all the possibilities of Wordpress, but with the code of oxygen and the Interface of Webflow.

@jarmal Elementor is a theme and builder for Wordpress. You’d create your site using Elementor, or Divi, etc much like a third party builder for Wordpress. Webflow is an entirely separate platform. The plug in will allow you to (virtually) use Webflow much like one of the aforementioned builders. Or... you could just use Webflow to build and host your individual sites without the need of integrating with Wordpress. Elementor, DIVI, etc. builders site on top of Wordpress, and require Wordpress to function. They are not stand-alone builders. Hope that helps 🙂

Next to Udesly, Pinegrow is a great tool, too. They have a dedicated Wordpress Theme Creator and massive tutorials about creating a theme from a webflow export.
Regarding the Wordpress Plugin... I dont see the usage at all... Which is kinda disappointing. I guess there will be more features coming to it, somewhere down the line, but in the state it is right now... actually useless.

@@jimbob7424 Webflow is your safe choice for frontend. When it comes to creating aWP theme of it, udesly might be easier but less powerful. Pinegrow has a stepper learning curve but wields more features.

TDLRest maybe people that don’t want to pay for webflow will use. Before this, it was required to show sample.webflow.io as your domain in address bar and redirecting your domain to your free webflow would still show .webflow.io in the ending in address bar. But now, the only limitation seems to be the “made in webflow” banner at bottom right.
not sure about the benefit if the customer cant change the content on Wordpress directly. And they have to pay for Webflow and their other Hosting. I think, if the customer really want to use Wordpress for their website and the the Designer uses Webflow for creation, they should go with udesly.
Let me say, it's a start!
I'm not sure how the Webflow hosting and Wordpress hosting works, but there are benefits of Webflow, especially the Editor view. It's less complicated for clients. Check this video from PluginTut who has an idea how to use it as landing page for marketing teams (czcams.com/video/QSQRK-aI41g/video.html). I don't use Webflow anymore, because the integration to Wordpress via Udesly wasn't good and I simply want to build with open-source at the core. That's why my current solution is Oxygenbuilder with Wordpress. However, if Webflow builds out this integration with Wordpress in smart way, there's a lot of potential. Cause the ease of use for clients in the editor plus the design capabilites for webdesigners is unmatched!
6:00 that's really silly .. Why would you want to use a plugin that just let's wordpress be a host for Webflow, and on top of that you have to pay for a Webflow site LOL.. when you can just export from Webflow and make a theme. And I'm talking manually do it. Now you're saying there's a plugin that automatically does it? LOOL. That's awesome though. I was thinking it would probably not be difficult to have something that will automatically make a theme from a Webflow export.

Basically this is a CMS on top of another CMS. Sounds ridiculous. A nightmare for SEO.
