It is technically impossible for a game to function with such graphics especially wizard101 as it has 11 ( 12 if you count khrysalis 1 and 2 as 2 worlds ) worlds with various locations . To keep it simple, if wizard101 had those graphics you wouldn't be able to open it or play it at all.
Honestly, if they did that I think they'd need to contact J.K. Rowling to help flesh out some things (like how and why spell cards are the main way of casting magic, for example) and make it truly magical.
Shawn McDaniel the reason is that in duels besides throwing magical Sparks you summon monsters to do damage for you, guessing the cards are convient on helping them summon easier

Someone please ask Warner Bros to make a W101 movie. Animations like this, and the main character could be Cyrus or Ambrose, the plot leading up to how they became professor/headmaster. Oh, a Malistare POV Movie would be cool, too!

I think we should be able to design the looks of our wizard more hands of rather than using sliders. Furthermore when we cast the spell the animation SHOULD look like this. If they can do it for a commercial then they sure as hell can find time to install a small aspect of this into the game.

The graphics haven't really caught up to modern games. They really need to rebuild the entire game on a brand new engine if they want to survive. But to be fair, they're focusing on mobile games.

It seems like most of the people here are disappointed because of the graphics in the actual game and that they dont match the teaser and that doesn't make any sense to me. Almost every game teaser has nothing to do with the actual graphics of the game. Take a look at the most popular games like league of legends and dota their teasers are nothing like the actual game. And btw the cards that are shown in this teaser actually look quite decent in the game.

Yeah because example: Summon fire dragon, lava pit appears for no reason. Summon Frost Giant, mountains come out of nowhere and so does frost giant.

The myth one was a treasure card. If you look again, the storm card used is slightly yellow-er than the other cards.
