‘Ello Posh Paws!
Before some dubiously themed Christmas videos, here’s a standard-fare ASMR vet roleplay where you’re a cat, a dog, or, I dunno, perhaps a rabbit, I guess. You’re probably a cat tbh.
There’s lots of up-close personal attention and positive affirmations (that for some might be a little patronising) as well as ‘off-stage’ chitchat and pet welfare advice with your owner. There’s a check-up that involves lots of encouragement and stroking, we well as a bit of fur trimming, checking your eyes and ears, and finally clipping your nails. Oh, you get vaccinated too, so be aware of that!
And, yeah, there’s a lot of ambient noise from random men on the roof of my house and then a truck shows up with a cherry picker, presumably to put one on top of the noise cake. However, the reason I continued is that for SOME roleplays (not the medieval ones f’sure) I find benefit from ‘real ambient noise’. That’s the story I’m sticking to. Anyway, enjoy!

🎙 What is ASMR? 🎧
ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. Whether it’s being ‘held’ by someone you have confidence in, or ‘looked after’ by someone with authority, or just feeling ‘safe’ with someone you trust, it uses audio-visual triggers to enable you to let go of your worries and stresses - even just for a bit.
📽 What is FPC? 🎞
FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds - just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos - but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.

My cat actually loved the vet. There was just something about being up on a table and being the absolute focus and centre of everyone's attention that just made him purr and purr. What a weirdo. I miss him a lot.

My cat was the same! The vet tried to listen to his heart and lungs put he purred so loud she wasn’t able to 😂 She tried to even make him a little bit uncomfortable but that didn’t stop him purring 🤓 He also crossed the rainbow bridge few years back.❤
not sure how anyone else gets but im nonverbal quite often so roleplays where i'm literally not human have an extra layer of comfort to them.

These vultures are constantly circling, hoping that someone will make a mistake so they can try to ruin their career while pretending to be on the moral high ground.
I don't know the story here, and I don't really care to hear about it. I've made some really stupid mistakes in my life that would probably get me canceled if I were in the public eye, and to expect any more from anyone else would be unfair and childish.
I like the extra thought you put into this right down to having everything in black and white to mimic a cat's vision.

What do you look like
Actually, the running water trick DOES work WONDERS on cats who are struggling to drink enough. My family had an elderly ‘Torti’ who had that issue. We bought one of those little countertop Kitty Water fountains and it CHANGED HER LIFE. SHE LOVED IT. To this day it is how we water ALL of our cats, and we haven’t had hydration issues in a LONG time. Cats are SMART, after all, they know just as we do that icy, clean water tastes the best.
Dog's been at the vet for the past 3 days and I'm picking her up tomorrow, impeccable timing
Obviously I’m a cat.😸 And I’m surprised how well behaved I was.

I’m adding a second comment to say this video has been approved by 4 of my 5 cats. 2 are regular asmr viewers, so they were a given. Of the other 2, one is blind, so your voice was perfect for her, and one loves the vet😅. Benny is old school and thinks screens are frivolous, so he’s the hold out.😹

This is something I didn’t expect to find in Roleplay ASMR but I loved it. Loved also the black and white. You know what would really have made me feel like I was a cat or dog? Jumbled speech. We all know that house pets can’t understand English, maybe only have a few commonly recognized trigger words for dogs or cats be clear. Nice work man. 😄

Only things I'd add is offering hand to sniff, a vet tech (seen briefly, mentioned, addressed, something), off and on background noise of phone ringing or animals in kennels/cages, and occasional movement of your patient (even calm ones tend to give an experimental sniff or nudge, or inquisitive look). Otherwise brilliant!
For trimming, always use electric clippers, just a heads up!

the scritch scratch sounds made me go "ooh, yes sir, a lil bit to the right" and "now, how about this side? wait, noooo, why did you stop?" 😆

Seeing this from a cat's pov, I can now see why some cats, including two of mine (who owned me quite some years apart) go psycho when at the vetinary.
It is as if they see the vet as some type of psycho. He is kind and cruel by turns, for what must seem like FOREVER ! " Whatever is coming next?! A kind word and a pat...then some kind of pain with a hard cold thing...then an apology and a scritch under the chin? This human is insane!....and even creepier, a pervert!"
The cat that comes in through the waiting room door like a demon possessed pair of conjoined twin felines, is remembering a previous very bad vet experience.
Unfortunately they didn't have the deftly soothing Jim experience.
Now that the postman knocking on my door has woken me up, I loved this. This is a definite add to my "don't freak out in the store" anxiety playlist (FYI your videos are the only ones on that list). Of course, I giggled at the "tickety (sp?) boo". I never thought a vet trip could be so relaxing. My three kitties are generally hellions that have to be chased all around the exam room LOL. As for the background noise, it fit perfectly so, as always, good call on leaving it in. I always look forward to your work, whether it is a relaxing visit or kidnap/torture/murder you weave a story that draws me in and keeps me enchanted. Thank you!
