Yeah, I dunno about Sale getting in with such a low win count over his career. Those Boston years really hurt his numbers and chance to get in right now. He's averaging less than 10 wins per season in the 14 years he's played.

The biggest thing between Sale and the hall is gonna be the crop of guys right before him. If he keeps racking up Ks and can get another k title or an ERA title or two, another one or two seasons at 5 WAR would have him even with CC Sabathia and ahead of Andy Pettite, Mark Buerhle, and Cole Hamels IMO. The problem is that Justin Verlander, Clayton Kershaw, Max Scherzer, and Zack Greinke are all going to tower over him and ease voters’ minds about needing to vote more pitchers in from this era.
