This is a great example of why I want a compressor - consistent volume with a lighter touch and sustain. This TonePrint might be just the one I’m looking for to play blues.

I didn't like compressors either until I got the Spectracomp. I really like this tone print.I use it "sparingly" at 9:00 but it makes a difference.
After looking at all the parameters in the editor, that are available for the Spectracomp ,I know I wouldn't be able to get better settings for me than this Compresslless tone print..

Beautiful Ken Smith bass but the flat-top pickups and the pickup placement closer to the neck sure make it sound different than the Ken Smith bass sound we're all used to.
