Since I realized the singer was dead (the time I bought this very album I didn't know yet...), the depressing feel of this track got instanctly enhanced to death. Especially when lyrics say: [It's so easy to be satisfied, when all you want to do is lay down and die...]
I'm glad to see that someone else feels similar about this song. Absolutely my favorite song from Woods of Ypres even though I love most all of their music especially the last album but this song and Distractions of living alone both have close meaning to me personally.
@@joeyharper4483 Hi there! Me too, I enjoy listening to the band's last work (Wood 5: GS & EL), there's less black metal and more gothic tinge in it and the sound works great that way imo! Woods Of Ypres, Agalloch, October Falls, Alcest, Katatonia and other depressive stuff is killer during fall and winter, although I believe bands like Burzum, Drudkh, I Shalt Become or something in the gothic rock/darkwave range like Joy Division and Dead Can Dance may be even worse if you're in the wrong mood... Greetings from Austrian Alps :)
