Easter Decorate With Me - Mixing Modern and Vintage Decor

- I started my Easter decorating today and I’m bringing you guys along. I am trying to figure out a good mix by using my existing modern Easter decor and the newer purchased vintage pieces.
I appreciate the decorating you do. Alot of the channels I watch including my primitive channels are all doing minimalistic decorating now. WHAT? Not me, I love my stuff, it makes me happy. You can always cut down but never will I be a minimalistic girl. 😉

Lots of snow still on the ground here in Alaska. So sitting and knitting and watching you decorate is a lovely way to spend my morning. 😊

It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I am a big fan of busy and overboard. You do both perfectly....just right! Why not put as many of your lovely things on display as you can. Looking at those shelves makes me happy! The touches of yellow are just what the tiered tray needed. And your mantle is gorgeous! So Springlike. Thank you for showing how you made the bunny ears napkin rings. I have been looking for some Easter napkins rings, so I think I will try my hand at making those. Thanks Anastasia, I hope you do try the napkin rings. I forgot to mention that when I added the ears on top I folded the bottoms down to have something to glue to. (You'll see what I mean when you get ready to put them together) Let me know how they turn out.
There is no such thing as having too many bunnies! Everything turned out so cute. The Easter sign looks really good in yellow.🐰

I love your mother’s Easter bunny! I was eating from my 1 1/2 pint Pyrex in the same design as your gifted one as I watched this. Glad you removed the saucers from in front of the plates because that design is so pretty. Looks so fun!
That's awesome Diane! I love that you use your pyrex. They will last forever if taken care of. I use a few pieces and display a few pieces.

I’m so glad you shared your Easter decorating video. I was feeling like you did last year with my Easter decorations. Wonderful idea to use the most joyful pieces first. That's what I've started doing as well. I enjoy using items that spark joy & being less cluttered.

Me too Lisee. He is one of the very few pieces that I have that was once my moms. Anything that was once hers is like a precious jewel to me know. I envy anyone who inherited their parents treasures. It is a gift.

I have enjoyed watching you buzz around decorate yalls home, so beautifully..I'm a bunny lover..I'm absolutely crazy about bunny rabbits..I will use them all thru the year..but easter is my most favorite way to use them..I'm not a minimalistic either..I love my decor n all of my flowers..I have been decorating every lilttle space in our home..our ceilings are 12 feet high, so I have lots of wall space to decorate...lol..our home is like a log cabin look on the inside, the outside has vinyl siding..but we have always loved the log cabin, rustic look..so when we built our home, we put rough cut pine boards on all of our walls....our master bathroom has corrugated silver metal in the ceiling..and our hall in our bedroom between our two walk in closets, and then in the hallway down to our other bedrooms, it has metal in the ceiling too..we really like..a challenge some times to decorate, but the Lord always guides in the right way to decorate it..thanks for all you do to share with all of us..I love it..have a blessed week.
Your house sounds like mine and David's dream house. We love the rustic wood cabin look. Our only wish is that it could be tucked up on the mountain with the view of the Smokey Mountains. 😍
Everything looks great! I also have that pair of white vintage bunnies---with the girl in the pink dress and the boy holding a blue egg. They are some of my favorite decorations too!!!

Thanks for sharing this video of your decorating for Easter. I know how much time it takes so I really appreciate it. I am keeping my Easter décor to a minimum as it took me two full days to take down the St. Patrick's Day ☘décor. I think what I will do is to "hide" cute, decorated eggs throughout the living/dining room area as if ready for a "Hunt".

The yellow made the sign perfect! Too many decorations? Naaaa! I wish you had some solid green plates instead of the brown ones on your hutch. Even the melamine ones would work if you had some. Enjoy watching it come together.
Thanks Dee, I am on the lookout for something different to get my hutch just perfect. I actually changed those plates around after I filmed this because I wasn't happy with it. I don't have any green ones but I am going to try that and see how they look.

in spring and summer my favourite colors are orange, yellow and pink. i was inspired by a vine that runs on the ground, which makes flowers and i didn't know what color were they, i just plant it and those were the colors and it was beautiful seeing a lawn of those flowers

Your bunny painting should able to be tightened if you wet the back of the canvas and then blow dry it!! Hope this helps 😊

ALWAYS ENJOY WATCHING YOU DECORATE, BUT THIS TIME I THOUGHT THE CANNISTERS ON ONE SIDE MADE THE SHELF LOOK A BIT HEAVY. MAYBE PUT ONE ON ANOTHER SHELF, UP OR DOWN
I think that you are right Naoma, now that I have lived with them for a little while they do stand out a little more from the other pieces. They are indeed a little heavy compared to the other shelves.

Greenery is too expensive to throw away. I find a use for even the smallest piece.
It sure is, and it seems like every time I touch it a piece is falling off. I just bunch them together and no one can tell the difference.
