  • According to some rumours, Red Bull have allegedly been caught cheating with illegal parts in their car, which have now been banned by the FIA, and this is potentially why they have looked so poor recently.

The performance difference in the last three years between Red Bull and the rest of the field is very suspicious, not to mention the injustice of the final race of the 2021 season. @@VegasMikeP229 They won't strip the titles, unfortunately. The 2021 championship just proved how corrupt the F1 administration has become, and how worse it went from 2022 onward when Mohammed Ben Sulayem entered the scene. Prior to it he already had a very dissonant voice and a clear schizophrenic behavior towards Lewis Hamilton, always spewing nonsense about his the driver's lifestyle, or what clothes he was wearing, or what jewes (and also seen multiple times wiggling his tail to Jos Verstappen and giving death stares at any of Verstappen rivals, to a point where he was recorded by the Netflix crew talking shit about Hamilton directly to Jos while both were staring at the guy who just passed by them, not knowing they were in front of a camera). The "system" is clearly rigged to benefit the "catfish" guy.
Nothing would surprise me if in the next races "they" decide to repeat the pattern stablished in Brazil 2021: shut down every onboard camera from every car in front of "catfish" whenever he's about to divebomb and toss the competitor out of track, so there's no proof of felony to contest about.

Allowed or Banned once the teams start arguing it out with the FIA it was in that grey area where the spirit of the regulations is perhaps a little busted but the letter of the law...
And more importantly it was done openly and quickly. Unlike say the RB budget cap that dragged on for eons behind closed doors, or the Ferrari engine stuff from some years ago now - That is drama sure, but the wrong kind that tarnishes the integrity of the sport - it isn't being smarter or faster than your opponent it is just deliberate completely unsporting cheating (well probably at least).

My guess is that the parts in question are all related tobth car's suspension. During 2022 preseason Red Bull was struggling with the porpoising phenomenon same as all the other teams. Within the first couple of races all of their porpoising issues were solved with a suspension system that Mohammed Bin Sulayem publicly labeled "legal" and "genius."This ingenious suspension system fully eliminated any need to rely on down force to dampen out porpoising...that left them with the full straight-line speed of the car. Earlier this years I heard a F1 commentator attributing Red Bull's great succces to the suspension system designed by Adrian Newey. Nice name drop but Adrian Newey is not a mechanical engineer. So Adrian Newey designed a device in the first few week of 2022 has hasn't been matchable any of the real mechanical engineers on the grid, to this day? What it looks like is that the FIA allowed Red Bull to use an active suspension system.
Red Bull would definitely be the face if this crime, but they would've been able to do any of it without a compliant partner....the FIA. Someone is evidently forcing the FIA's hand, because the FIA's would be inclined to totally escape notice. The FIA is the one responsible to inspect all car to ensure thatvthey are legal. I say that Red Bull use active suspension and the FIA know about at the start. It should be a very interesting second half of the season as more questions are answered.

As a result this caused Verstappen to be right next to Hamilton before the restart. That too Verstappen had pitted for new tyres as there was a safety car. As they started racing again Verstappen overtook Hamilton and basically took the championship. If the cars stayed lapped between them it most likely would’ve given Hamilton the win. So that’s why it’s very controversial.

FWIW i draw a line between finding a loophole in a regulation and outright cheating. I can go back quite a way in F1 where a loophole, or even innovation, e.g. Dual Axis Steering, Double Diffusers were deemed legal but outlawed the following season or something like the Brabam 'FanCar' were legal then rules updated to make them illegal during the same season.
What seems to be different in my mind is the newer ownership and their strategy to increase the global audience, one team winning by a street every race does not help sell the product. When Max was almost hatricking (poll/win/fastest lap) every race weekend the coverage was cut in direct response to the reduction in viewers.
Now we have more drama and jeopardy, F1 ownership is happier and I cant help but feel its a case of follow the money wherever it leads
