I subscribed and shared it with my friends. My rescue bunnies don't like to have their photos taken, unfortunately, and if they see a camera, or a phone that might be ready to take pictures, they run and hide. So I have to share other people's bunnies instead.

I'm pretty sure getting the rabbits out of their cage for a certain amount of time a day only to be in company of humans isn't quite a therapy for them ... but who cares as long as tourists like iy right??
(Saying this with a Shiba cafe I visited that I have in mind, were the dogs were obviously badly treated. Not saying they are all the same but these cages make me feel like it)
@@BBoySturdy think. Watch. In that video do the bunnies seem petrified or traumatized? They are actually very eager to get a treat and get pet. And you can see the owners are not beating them or forcing them to be nice. Bunnies are very different from dogs. A bunny you can probably train them to do a couple tricks promising treats but you can't promise them treats to interact with people. I have a bunny. He's scared of everything loud. He doesn't really like anyone but me. But if my dad happens to give him a treat he's best friends with my dad for a few mins. Then he's back to not liking anyone. So it may not be therapy for them but they definitely don't look coerced or traumatized. I understand the issue of the cages but I think that will be the only issue in this case.

they could have it worse but you are right, especially for the giant rabbits. I went to a owl cafe once in japan and it felt the same, just wrong.... I mean they have a clean place and getting spoiled and have mates to get along with so it's not that bad.

venusbonjour Yeah and get hunted by wild predators cause these domesticated rabbits don’t know how to defend themselves. Tell that to all fish, rabbit, bird, reptilian owners in the world. There’s always people who complain about the littlest thing when the animals don’t even remotely show any signs of abuse; grow a spine, people.

Blacky was my favourite rabbit because he's actually the same breed as the rabbit I used to own. I was pretty sad remembering his fate when Blacky was introduced but I still felt glad I had the experience of keeping a rabbit

Wait a minute, I am pretty positive that bunnies aren't supposed to be walking on wires...(their "hay holder thingy") Also, why don't they just put a seat protecter on the seats in the booth? The bunnies are eating it and it isn't good for their digestive system.
The way these rabbits are kept is horrible. They might look happy but they're probably really stressed out by so many people. Also have you seen the cages their kept in when I assume the café closes? Yours is the only comment actually concerned for the rabbits I've seen. People really need to be educated more about bunnies.

@@bjfifi If I remember correctly, sha had a "meet me" event in a rabbit cafe in Tokyo. A rabbit care channel having a meet-up in a place where bunnies are kept in tiny wire cages and living in a noisy place, being given to different people every day. So much for your rabbit care. But for sure, good for CZcamsr visibility.

This is a place of heaven for all bunny parents, grandparents or lovers. I want to go there and the fact they are all rescues and given names is awesome.

I was really glad to asee the bunnies seem to be happy and relaxed not completely scared they seemed to enjoy being around the people and receiving all the pets and treats. They also seem to spend enough time outside their cages which is good

I live in Japan but have never been there. There are so many kinds of rabbits. 🐰❤️Surprised 😆It was nice to have a rabbit that looks like Bini .🐰❤️🎵

I think this is reasonable arrangement. Theses bunnies in the same area must be able to get along with each other. If you allow the customer to pick any bunny and put them together, they may fight. Also I like the aprons, which can protect the customer's cloth and the bunnies.

Rabbits (and bunnies) will always and forever be my favorite animals. Someday I want to go to Japan so I can go the the cat cafes, Nara Park where the bowing deer are, Okunoshima the island where numerous of wild rabbits live, and rabbit cafes like these ☝️

They certainly do, and it's adorable. They groom each other on occasions too. Although when they get a bit too fat they sometimes have trouble grooming some parts.

Who even said they were beating the rabbits? Jane just said the cages are too small. I don't think you realize how ridiculous requirements for keeping animals are in most of the countries. I can give you an example of my country which is a member of EU. There are many parrot cafes. Cool, right? They fulfill all of the requirements. The birds have appropriate diet, cages and vet care. But just recently it turned out the birds are greatly neglected which was revealed by one of workers who worked there. So why no one can see they are neglected, just that one person? Because the birds which are unhealthy/dying/old are obviously not shown to the public, they are kept in some shady rooms with absolutely no vet care waiting for death. And what you mean by vet care in the case of small animals or birds are SPECIALIZED vets (avian, exotic, small animals). A lot of places don't have such specialized care. And even when they do it pays off more to just replace an animal which is ill with a 'fresh' one. You treat only valuable ones. Not to mention how most of people visiting these places handles animals. They touch them constantly, hold them, take photos with them etc. Stress can be lethal to some animals. You know which type of animal cafe is cool? With shelter dogs/cats or other animals coming there just for a few hours once a week to be shown and atract a potential adopter.
They should use dog cages with plastic bottoms that is what bunny experts advise and these work very well. The rabbits love to sleep in cages with plastic bottoms and these cages are easy to clean.Just pull out the plastic tray and wash. Easy.

@@venusbonjour9303 not really. Domestic rabbits can survive just fine indoors their whole life. But they need space to move/run around and those cages clearly don't have it :(
I understand, my bun is free range, thier rescues and at least they do strech thier legs a few hours when out. While its not ideal, it seems like a more comfortable home than the pound while they wait for forever homes. A lot of these places are non profits that help animals get adopted. I think its a great idea. As far as being free in nature go's my bunny hopped right into my friends arms and has lived a peaceful life away from scary predators and has never been interested in going outside ever again. Some animals love being outside, but bunnies at the bottom of the foodchain, seem pretty thrilled to move indoors with us.
@@venusbonjour9303 I agree with only a part of this. Sure animals in general do better in their natural environment. That's why I don't support breeding them for pets (for money) and keeping them caged for meat etc. However, there's nothing wrong with adopting animals and treating them the best you can while actually respecting their needs. Half our rabbits would die as soon as I would let them freerun outside, one of them is white and deaf, another one is scared of almost everything including wind, shadows etc., another one can't stand literally any change in his environment, another one needs his fur brushed every few days... Some of them are not only bonded to their rabbit friends, but to us as well. No, I wouldn't catch a wild rabbit to have a pet, but I would never let those that have been already domesticated to the wild either.
venusbonjour these are domesticated rabbits, they aren’t meant to live in the wild and would die pretty fast if they weren’t indoors. Plus rabbits in the wild have low life expectancy partially due to the large amount of stress they have living in the wild. They are much better off with people to take care of them. While i dont agree with the cages, they do have a good amount of space to play all day which is much better than most situations rabbits are in.

I've been to Japan and have been to this cafe. The cages at this particular location are bigger than they look. The crew watches everyone and cleans up constantly, that's why they rotate you and the bunnies from room to room and you sanitize your hands each time. They even give you an apron and fresh slippers to wear. The bunnies are super spoiled. Fresh veggies, water and snacks available at all times. They also have baby otters 😘
These bunnies are actually rescues and some of them are up for adoption so they can find their forever homes.
