- Millhousen, IN: Sirens across the state of Indiana wailed Tuesday to mark Severe Weather Awareness Week. Two mock tornado drills were held, one in the morning and one in the evening, to better prepare citizens for treacherous weather. This siren is located at the fire department in the small village of Millhousen in Decatur County. Mounted low to the ground, this 3T22 is a three-phase siren running off a phase converter. We were meet at the station by the fire chief who happily activated the siren for us, as a firefighter would have to do in a real weather emergency as this siren is not remotely activated. The chief also informed us that the siren is tested at fire department meetings during the warm months. Footage in the video was taken both from a tripod mounted camera, as well as a Phantom 3 Drone. Enjoy!

the wind up reminds me of a Broadmoor siren running up in ALL CLEAR mode
the Klaxons are essentially horizontal 3T22s
Oh the old sirens got removed *only some*
True
3:30 for siren
Sounds really nice, when it started up it kinda reminded me of the THX beginning
Love the drone! That was fun
WHY IS IT MOUNTED SO LOW!!!!???
AllertorBoy cuz it can be.
@Mr. Thunderbolt xD
You think that's low mounted? Check out how low this STH-10 was mounted! czcams.com/video/4dIEbLrUeos/video.html
@lol lol
yeah I've seen that. Completely ridiculous they couldn't put it on a pole or something. It's hilarious at the same time lol
@lol lol also it looks like there was a intercepting pole on top of it
Man. What a tall mount pole.
Really nice sounding siren. Sounds a lot like the famous Carters from WWII.
My God, that wind up is great.
When it winds down then activates again it stops spinning to start up again
I love this one !
well up too 100 feet they output 113 decibels, but i do not know how loud they are up close
From my meter, standing directly under the pole while the siren is at full speed will make about 127 dBA, so this may be in the high 130's to the low to mid 140's. But I have no idea.
Why does everyone wait until the chopper stops moving
That siren sounds healthy. May need a better phase converter for more punch and faster wind up
Will Butter slower wind up is better
@@rotaryrevor4756 it doesn’t get that loud, reducing range, and hurting the siren’s purpose altogether
Did You Do This With 4j25?
3:30 Motor brake?
I don't know either. Sounds like a capacitor charged off of the motor a little too late.
its 3 phase, so i dont think that’s how it works. i think the motor restarting ended up stopping the chopper so the axle could catch.
It was the phase converter most likely doing DC braking.
@@Joethaboss66 I see
Must be on low volts for wind up like that
It wouldn’t get to the full sound
It Winds up really Slow Like CLM Sirens
1:14 this is a test nessage
Lol
@@blaynesplantvlog7117 ?
What was the voice it's an air raid
Very slow windup, interesting color, needs a better phase converter for a better wind up. but it still sounds good with the slow wind up though. Grea video!
Very slow and steady wind up
That thing can't be very useful and heard very far being that low to the ground.
I have a question. How come you always make negative comments on peoples videos?
Because he's a nasty little twit who only focuses on the bad. Pity.
@@gian3248 lol
my fan motor in a nutshell
i love the sound can you return to mt vernon ohio for a retake of the fs thunderbolt ?
Is that still standing and in operation? I might make a trip out there myself if it is. I don't live far from it.
Joe F Thank You
I'll only go out if it's still operational though, and I probably wouldn't get around to recording it for a while. I rarely have the time lol
Ok
Sounds like chorus but guess what this is a new siren name Carter Carter is a quite wind up siren but he takes too long but takes 30 minutes but she tags along with the people that who runs and everything ain't that right Carter🥰💟
Is it a test or is it a tornado warning
“SWA”
It’s both basically. A test of the tornado warning procedures with EAS and siren systems
Plz do hi lo!
3T22: nah fam.
2:14 it sounds like a klaxon cs8
3T22 sounding off
0:21 BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP. BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP. BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP.
siren head
Bro stop talking about siren head on every siren test video I’m a siren head fan but I don’t put siren head on every comment that’s being annoying who’s agree

sick
3:30 sounds like a reversible motor.
I don't see the point of having a siren this close to the ground unless it's in a museum or for a demonstration.
