Great video, really useful info, I would probably add a few extra steps just from a legal point of view: 1) i would register my company as an LLC / LTD and register to pay tax on any profits; 2) I would take out corporate liability insurance to cover me in case of any legal disputes; 3) I would join a trade membership body like APSCO or REC to give me more credibility especially when dealing with client organisations

Hi Ben, I appreciate what you’re doing. Please keep it up you’re helping out many including me. I do have questions that I can’t answers for on your videos. Do you offer your employees insurance benefits and do you provide background and drug test for your clients ?
Hey Ben, what a brilliant move! Probably one of the most bravest business move that happened in an hour. Just wanna ask a question, do you do the background check yourself (like having your own sets of things you want to figure out) or you refer to your client's preferences to personalized the background checking? More power and keep being awesome! 🤙
Danny we don't give those out any longer this was a thing of the past, we reserve all that material for our program mentorship students only if you're interested in that please linkup with me in the links in the description of this video
thing is ...indeed has the jobs and it normally is connected to a HR person....how from that can you locate the decision maker...HR are usually pretty hopeless at letting new agencies on board.
I never advocate that you try to go through HR at all, if you checkout all my videos I actually advise against it as most know it’s generally a gatekeeper situation with HR. Sometimes they are people to talk to in large orgs though.

@@runthomas Thanks for your words of support. Sounds like you have a solid plan of engagement going, I would keep on that path. Contactout is an amazing tool and will help you bust through many doors and get in contact with alot of people via linkedin, I'd also make sure you have at minimum the LinkedIn Premium version $66/mo, well worth it though to view a lot more people and such, these are just the baby steps, soon you'll buy some bigger and better tools to automate and reach out to further potential companies and hiring managers and have a lot more sitting at your feet to work with.
Hi Ben, Been thinking about doing this. What about registering your business? Did you do a DBA or LLC? Did you purchase insurance even with starting with Direct Hire, was thinking it would be a good idea. Can I get a link to your website to check it out? Also what programs do you use for keeping up with applicant data, placed employees, invoicing the client, etc. Thanks for the videos
Jack O thanks a bunch for checking out my vids. Shoot me an email my contact is right on my profile page and I can explain some of the details, because I’m actually planning on doing some videos on business structure and some of the things you’ve mentioned.
Hey Ben! how about find out the business license? Here in Massachussets staffing agencies are highly regulated, it's overwhelming how to be compliant with the law.
Research it with your own state, I'm not a lawyer or a CPA, I can only talk about how my state regulates it, not any other state that I don't live in. Get on the phone with your local government and get the facts from them there.
Did u use ur address when you went on the state website to register your business name or did you use a po box. I know in one of your videos you told the lady in the cold call that you have a headquarter
Just use the linkedin you have now, but just edit the information on it, like headline, bio, current position, etc etc. No need to make an entirely new LinkedIn and they also don't really allow duplicate Linkedin's if you planned on keeping the old one as well.
@@BenNader Hi Ben, please is the 10percent just for one staff member or many staff members or do I get 10percent on different staff members and different jobs? I mean is the 10percent for the whole year, is it for just one staff am.sending out to work?
I know that this video is old, and I hope you can respond. But, doesn't you/us need to have a registered business because of taxes? Most if not all business will require you to provide the business IRS TAX ITIN. Or any similar tax ID for any country any viewer can be? Sincere question here. Thanks for the video!
Hey Ben 🙂 Question for you, when working your own business from home, how do you go about letting clients know that you don’t have an official office space / place they can visit. Thanks again for sharing all your knowledge with us! We appreciate you.
This is super easy they don’t need to know anything at all you simply interact with them on zoom video or email or phone that’s it in general you don’t usually meet with candidates or clients overall you can conduct business completely from a home office or a coffee shop literally everything is done digitally nowadays. There are definitely exceptions but I can tell you in three years I’ve met one client and that was just a coincidence, and I’ve done several hundred thousand dollars with these people.
I’m a start up, so I don’t have an office yet, bio (i.e., About Us), or office phone, so what adress do I use? What do I write in the About Us? What phone number do I use?
USE YOUR CELL, JUST GET CLIENTS, stop looking at the tiny details and just grab the phone, find numbers on MANTA and start calling up asking for the owner. Boom, just made you your first deal, get after it, stop getting in your own way!
There's no $10/mo website, that's quality, you need a WIX or Weebly website that runs about $25/mo, you may have mistaken me saying that business email is about $10/mo, but now answering this comment, it's jumped to about $16/mo with google.
You need to register your business with your state and then you should create an LLC once you're up and running really solid. An LLC is about $200 USD, you can file that all online, you don't need to go anywhere to do anything. Call your state specifically or look on their department of licensing website to get an idea of what's required by them specifically, some states have different things, but generally you just register a business license with your business name (DBA), (DOING BUSINESS AS) and then create an LLC which separates you from your business. It's not called "online staffing" its just called business services or consulting in most states.
But, but no you don't for direct hire placement. Sure in STAFFING you do, please check all my videos and see the differences between staffing and direct hire recruiting, you don't NEED to be insured to run a direct hire recruiting agency at all. You can be if you want to be, but it'll pretty much just protect you from water spilling on your laptop "during business hours" .
