It's a sad day when a bunch of comments are calling this injustice when it clearly isn't at all. And when they think justice is assuming Potter killed in cold blood when all the evidence points towards an accident. That says there are many stupid, ignorant, low IQ, heartless monsters in these comments. Victim impact statements are indeed useless when the defendant is Kim Potter, who was lawfully attempting to arrest a criminal who decided to resist and place everyone's lives, including his own, in mortal danger. Because of HIS actions, Potter made an error in the heat of the moment and he lost his life.

@@jasminjenee I'm guessing you've never made a mistake in your whole life. There was absolutely no reason whatsoever to reach the conclusion that this was NOT an accident. And what are you talking about weight of the gun and taser? I'm not saying she isn't guilty of anything. I think jail time is appropriate. If this makes officers just a little bit more aware so that mistakes like this are avoided in the future then her 2 year sentence did it's job because that would be the only reason to jail her to send a message and to punish her for her error. People seem to believe that because she was convicted, she is guilty of having killed Wright in cold blood. That is why I said there are a lot of low IQ monsters commenting on here. Low IQ for being irrational in their logic and literally assuming lies about Potter because it makes them feel better and monsters for turning a blind eye to Wright's role in his own death and placing all the blame on a noble officer of 26 years. Not only that but judging her for the color of her skin and making the far fetched and evil assumption she killed him due to racism. Enough with the low IQ bullshit. Most people making those arguments aren't even dumb they just lap up whatever the MSM tells them and that may not seem like such a big deal to onlookers like us but God forbid one of us is ever involved in a situation like this where you know you're being assumed to be something you're not because of people who lack empathy and seeking blind revenge and being criminal apologists.

Blooming Accents, it like you’re caught up in “Daunte was a scumbag, so cops can kill at will!” Potter knew none of this when she executed Daunte. That’s what bothers me. Just like it bothers me that in the year before George Floyd’s murder, Australian white woman Justine Damond, who was living in one of the best parts of town, was shot by a black cop, from Somalia, who was a diversity hire. She called for help on a prowler and lost her life for it, the officer got sentenced for third degree murder 12 1/2 years, then the biased Minnesota courts reversed that and gave him only 4.9 years, for manslaughter, so he got away with murder, as well. And this ridiculous 2 year verdict, sets a president, and ensures whomever is killed by police, next, police, when they commit crimes, even murder, won’t be held accountable for their crimes, and so these incidents of violence against all citizens will just increase, as they’ve been doing for decades. This idea of let’s dig up what we can on victims after we play judge, jury, and executioner, to justify whatever cops do wrong, is garbage. Because that’s not why the victims were murdered, and even when they can only find “white woman, not a criminal, calling for help on prowler,” the cop is still allowed to get away with murder, which proves that’s what happens regardless of the victim’s background.

@@dinafoxm Insane obsession? I am actually from a chaotic country that people do not respect police officers. I was taugh to respect police officer when I am pulled over in this country. Were they always nice to me? Of course not! Are every polices bad? Absolutely not. Having a gun is legal here, police officers are doing their best to protect themselve and people. Stop being a whiny adult!
