German performance for me was one big disappointment. To be honest nobody expected not to see Germany at least in 1/4 finals.
I still cannot figure out what's happened to them. But that is sport, expect unexpected.
Maybe Sigurdsson's leaving had some impact on team's chemistry. Too bad because this team could do a lot more.

Hawawa Büschbüsch Reichmann is very bad and those wingers are also insanely annoying. Referees should start whistling these situations
Truth And Justice i think they are told to don't whistle it because then there can be more "spectacular" scenes like the kempas or reichmanns mid aur shot feint

Why Germany underperformed in wcs 2017 because I think simply Germany isn't so good, she has top players for sure but not more than Danemark or Spain, but they play in the Best league in World Who's make them a little bit overrated.
Germany in my opinion is like Sweden or Norway, good young teams but not dominant like is Danemark and France or like was Croatia.
Yes I know she's the reigning european champ but remember she haven't defeat France Who is the true dominant team who decide if you have a medall or not, if you play her in 1/4 you're F**k, and everybody knows, euro before olympics isn't the same especially for big teams, Germany haved win cause of that but i'm pretty sure she never win before some years.
Sweden, I think is the New french's challenger more than Norway or Germany, the scandinavians have everything for that, skills, talent, top players and it's the only country Who can look french in the eyes when we talk about greatness.
T44 Your comment shows that you have no plan of handball. Germany and Norway will dominate the handball in a few years I absolutely know that. And France time to dominate the handball world will end, because the good players like Karabatic, Narcisse, Omeyer etc.. are getting older and can't keep up with the young players then anymore. And I'm absolutely sure that France can't find such world class players in the future. And about Croatia.. They have good players yes. But they dont play nice handball, in their game it's just about strength.. On the other side Germany and Norway are playing the fastest and nicest handball I know. With lots of really really good players. Germany: Wolff, Heinevetter, Gensheimer, Groetzki, Häfner, Kühn, Wiede, Drux... And if they would be bad they would not have won the European Championship and Bronze and the Olympic games!
