One of my basic rules of thumb when looking at game rules is "Why would you write something in a very specific way on the card?". And clearly, the Ranger's ability is written specifically so it counters those 2 enemies' rules about even/odd dice. Because you wouldn't write it that way if it didn't. Fun game, but yeah, it looks really hard. 3 might be too hard solo.
