I had a similar experience as a 13 tear old girl while visiting Pompeii. I saw all these people, animals, etc. walking on the sidewalks, across the streets. My mum had to come over and shake me out of what she said was a trancelike state. I still remember the scenes of what I saw quite vividly, now almost 50 years later.
Touching the stones if ruins in Mertola, Portugal, I had a similar experience, but it was more energetic than visual.

The prevailing ruler wanted to keep the loyalty of his or her new subjects, and knew they were habituated to worshipping certain gods in certain ways. So they kept the attributes, just changed the names...re-branding, we might call it today. Mass marketing ain't nothing new. Lol
Later down the line, in more recent history, the Catholics were experts at this. Old gods of Rome, and the peoples subjected by the Roman Empire, became Saint This and Saint That. Old festivals became Christian feast days... the Saturnalia became Christmas, the Lupercalia became "Saint Valentine's" Day, so on and so on.
Religion (not spirituality) has always been one big con job, a control device successfully used to control the masses.

But what the bloke in the video is trying to impart, and what researchers like Sitchin, etc, are trying to impart, is that there is a lot more nuance to the story. The Orion aliens, and their giant offspring, affected all of our cultures, all over the world, in various ways, even today, for better and for worse.

If you are more interested in learning about Law of One, David Wilcock is a good source of info. I learned a lot about Law of One and the RA collective from him. There may be some positive polarity beings there as well.

The Orion Nebula has been represented time and time again throughout antiquity. We see it in the symbolism and artwork and it was even carried over and integrated into the artwork of the medieval cathedrals of Europe. It is the primordial point of our species.

Where he mentions "perfection" I think what is truly meant is "Purity". One can be pure and still be imperfect. It can be dangerous to misinterpret such meanings for it leads to great misunderstanding in lower levels of consciousness and that confusion can wreak havoc.

Perhaps the stories speak of the difference between Enki and Enlil; both of the Annunaki race ... different mothers - human (Enki) and reptillian (Enlil); both being Sons of Anu according to others that I've heard speak of this. There is a difference (good and evil) in the intentions toward humanity. Let's not get all mushy about Orion. My understanding so far, is that the Orion Wars were a very real thing and that the Orion Grey races are all part of how humanity has been predated upon, not just reptillians ... it's 'both/and' light, 'and' darkness that has played out here. Good to know. I too have heard conflicting stories of these so-called Gods from Orion.
I read that the Queens of Orion originated in the Alpha Draconis system but migrated to Orion and ruled there with an iron fist. It was these beings that manipulated human DNA on earth from a quadruple helix down to a double helix. I don’t worship anyone or anything but I can say that any being that commands to be worshipped or revered is no being of Light. They are usually self-serving, have their own agenda and are not interested in the advancement of consciousness of Earth. I also read the Mayans, Aztecs and Incas were also 4th dimensional and commanded to be worshipped. They came from a planet that orbits the star Polaris.
One thing I can say is not all reptile-like beings are malevolent. There are reptile-like beings in many Star systems across the Galaxy, Pleiades included. Reptilians get painted with a broad brush because of the actions of the Alpha Droconis star beings.

What I would like to understand concerning Orion. My understanding to date is this. The stars that make up the constellation Are not lying on a flat field all lined up together, they are staggered sometimes many many light years forwards and backwards of each other. To say that this or that stellar race of Aliens are from the Orion Constellation would have to be speaking literally in broad terms. I can understand that they are "out there" in that general direction but how far out are they? Am I in the ballpark with my thinking on this?

I don't think they literally came from orion. It's a misinterpretation. Rather, there were many tribes of same earthly race, each adopted a constellation as it's flag/logo/symbols.
