- There are lots of ways to ring in the new year. Allow me to do this by introducing the one synthesizer to make my set-up complete; The ASM Hydrasynth. The sounds that this thing produces are amazing. It has after-touch, something that I had been "missing" so far. Going through the first presets, I ran into one that they named BladeTitles. Needless to say that this sound took me immediately to the Blade Runner movies. So, what you hear is just this preset, nothing changed, nothing added.
All the best wishes for our next orbit around the Sun.

I was going to get this but the reviews say it sounds too thin. I am not hearing that here as it sounds full and lush and deep. Reviewers must be deaf. Subbed. Going to get the deluxe version now.

It is amazing, Filon. I have no regrets at all. The only thing it is missing is a sequencer, but I'm not complaining as the sounds and the aftertouch are fantastic.

This is awesome. I would only say the CS-80 sound was a bit less processed sounding which you could obviously adjust in order to get the sound to be a bit harder and less silky. It is probably because the source on the CS-80 was more direct and dry going through a gorgeous wet reverb. I am currently debating between the Hydrasynth Deluxe and the Novation Summit.
The Hydrasynth is an amazing synth, but I've heard some great things about the Summit as well. Good luck with your decision ! :-)
