If you remember, during the pandemic, all entertainment events in the world were prohibited. Therefore, the global music industry suffered major losses and ruin in those two years. And only BTS, with their new songs, albums, broadcasts and indoor concerts, earned good money and supported the economy of their country, for which they received the highest awards from the President of South Korea. In addition, all the new songs from that period were soothing, supportive, uplifting and positive, which clearly increased the number of fans and BTS ARMY.
Please note you did see Suga during Life goes On. They made a holograph of him, very expensive, but at least he was “there” briefly.

I remember yoongi reacted to thier performances at that time and he said "BTS dance looks cooler without me " (he said it as joke ofc just cuz he doesn't want to dance ) 😂😂
It was a hard time back then but ofc and as always BTS didn't let us get a chance to be sad or upset 💜💜

Coming down that staircase, they are recreating a scene from the N.O mv, complete with the orchestral bit from that song. But in N.O, everyone wore white. The white ribbon-like banners and bright flashing lights shining toward us are also from N.O, They chose the title ON as a reference/call-back to the themes in N.O.
Later in this show we have Life Goes On. BTS likes to develop themes from one era to another. On and on and on...
Debut: No More Dream. First comeback:N.O. The song they didn't get to perform onstage until the end of the pandemic: ON. The song about feelings during the pandemic: Life Goes On.

They are amazing talented normal boys who inspired us 💜 Lets go back to 2013 live performance. Their 1st performance at Melon Debut Showcase of We are Bulletproof pt2 and No more dreams. You can see how difference they are now
The only thing that would have made these performances better was if Yoongi had been there….but them always leaving a space for him warmed my heart so much 🥹

This performance, despite being during the pandemic, was so iconic! 🤌💜💜💜 And also, look at you, giving us a two-fer. Great job! You nailed it, I think. The boys gave it their all, no doubt. But there's an energy exchange, with the audience, that builds on itself, and that is what was missing. 🥹💜💜
For ON performance in award shows, i more prefer MAMA than MMA. It's more grand and spectacular.
Btw, the white stair scene, is reminisce from their old MV scene called N.O (released 2013). it's their first comeback song after debut. The concept on N.O is almost similiar with fake love, but in N.O is more focused for student's life reality. They are lives like a puppet as a good student n must obey the system that created by adult (goverment, society, teachers, and parents) that imposed to children. You will see a big giant hand statue at N.O MV that u also find on Fake Love MV. In N.O that hand statues it's like a hands who control them like a puppet (marionette puppet). And they tried to rebel against the puppeteers (the systems). If u remember BTS Fake Love performance in MMA 2018 when they are dancing inside a room like a container, u see that they are get bind with a tie/ribbon after Jin switch on the lamp. That tie/ribbon is a puppeteers ties who bind them. In Fake love performance on MAMA 2018, u will find the same concept that there is a big giant hand (marionette) who playing BTS as their puppets (u will see the dance break they are dancing like a puppets).

It was the Black Swan song in the background actually, but the orchestral version of it. Not sure if you know but there is an orchestral version of Black Swan incorporated into an art film, you might wanna check it out!
