Yes, it’s normal. We actually create birthday registries on Amazon. We did it for our baby boys 1st birthday this year. It was MUCH easier. Everything got shipped to the house and we didn’t have to pack the car up with birthday gifts after his party. Then if someone wanted to bring anything other than what was on the Registry, they did. Also… have you signed him up for Dolly Partons Books from Birth? They send out a new book monthly until they turn 5.
Happy birthday to the big guy! I personally re-gift, donate to women’s shelters, put away for Christmas, and do a toy rotation. And we keep a list of books wishlist on Amazon that I forward to ppl so no one can say well I didn’t know he already had 1000 toys

If you see it from her perspective, people purchased gifts she didn’t want. If it’s a friend, you know their personalities and you’d know the ones who would get rid of gifts. I am someone who doesn’t mind if someone attends an event without purchasing a gift though.
@@fascn8ng well she should have given instruction to those invited. She said some asked was he registered and she told those individuals to get books. Why didn't she just tell everyone books? Additionally, her husband mentioned not getting rid of the gifts, she said they don't watch the videos. If it was just her recieving gifts I could possibly agree with your response but since it's a child's gift coming from her and her husband's friends and family I can't agree.
