Today we take a look at one of the best engines you can buy! O.S. and Adam Drake have put this beast of an engine together! thedrakeracing.com/index.php/... Thanks for watching! Subscribe for more!
Hi Chris. As you know I also have the RC8B4.1 and AD3 combo thanks to you :) I also now have the NB48 2.2 that is almost built. My Rhonda Drake 2 engine just came in, but this one without the Drake brake in. I've noticed that both your AD3 and mine have a black tie strap installed at the base of the low speed needle assembly. You will clearly see this on your video as well. Do you happen to know why Adam installed this extra tie strap? Also after hearing all the rave about Tekno 1/8 buggies, I honestly feel like the AE's build and suspension feel is a bit smoother and more premium. I thought it would be the other away around but overall great kits to build with better manual/instructions on the Tekno to include the available build videos for noobs like me...
@@MrDucatiti So most OS engines have either a tie wrap or a retaining ring around the carb boot. It keeps a airtight seal and keeps dust from getting in. You can upgrade your tie wrap to a retaining ring from j&t or similar. They are honestly both good cars. I just have more experience with the pivot ball cars. They drive very differently
Its a great running engine! Loads of torque down low, can be a handful in buggy but it just runs so well its worth it. Would be an excellent motor for Truggy!
Damn that’s a crazy 😜 nice 👍 looking motor can’t wait to see it go!!
