    Thanks guys. Been ordering from you for couple of years now but had not seen your videos. Now I see why I've found the "sweet spot" on lather with some soaps but not with others - I've been doing it wrong!

    Just so I understand better, it's best to get lather on both hands, the table, your shirt, nose and glasses. Or is this a "What not to do" video? Haha. Thanks for the video. I'm just learning all this wet shave stuff.

    I found myself not watching the demo as much as laughing at the guy on the right with the foamy hand!!!!

      Exactly…I couldn’t focus because he reminded me of a toddler playing with soap & bubbles. :)

    After you’re done do you take all the lathered shaving cream out of the tub or do you leave it in their until next shave?

    Thanks for the video! How long does a lather last? If I use a bowl to make lather can I re-use the leftovers the next day?

      A lather can last around 10 - 15 mins. But you risk it drying out the longer it stays out. When in doubt, just add more water. Hope this helps!

    Someone just tuning in to the last two minutes would think this is one strange, KINKY video! LOL! :)

    Recently started de shaving after 40 plus years using cartridges. Been using variety pack of blades to find best for me but I have for first time in years bad skin rash, bumps and irritation. Shave goes well and next to no nicks now. I’m thinking it maybe soap or cream being on face to long as shave takes me longer with de razor. Tried TOBS cream and Proraso Red bowl soap. I use synthetic brush and bowl lather combined with Muhle R106 razor. I tend after getting first rash due to 3 pass shave now stick to 2 passes till skin gets better. Any advice would be welcome on my process or recommend a better milder lather?

      evanstheframe rub the lather into your face / hair more . You might not be getting it deep into the skin. Also use a large amounts of lather. Hope this helps

      Aone Sauce thank you for reply. If I may ask, what soap would you recommend for slickness and least drying for the skin?

    • @Crazey123
      @Crazey123 Před 4 lety +1

      evanstheframe any store bought soap or cream is good. I have used Barbasol / Gillette, but found out they dry quickly. I just recently bought Taylor of Old Bond Street online. It is a premium cream with great overall results.

      Try a slant razor. Cuts wirey wiskers with ease less irritation and 2 passes also a Yuma DE surprisingly good very comfortable shave. It's often a combination of variables.

      A good pre-shave oil helps.

    Using Gatsby soap in a bowl, do you recommend loading the brush then building in the bowl?
    Can you do just a simple quick vid on load and build in a bowl?
    Thanks guys. Love your products!

    Which shaving cream gives the best lather?

    • @mrmessma427
      @mrmessma427 Před 3 lety

      I think it's more about the effort put into building the lather vs which cream. Also, soaps will normally make more dense lather than cream.

    New to this. For a cream, you say a "good amount." What's a good amount? Pea-size? Grape?

    Majority of the lather on the hands and table, makes totally sense ....

    It’s not rocket science here. You just build with whatever works to your liking.

  • @bitutube

    Wow - this is not a good demonstration. There is no need to get so messy guys. Just get your brush wet, add a dime size bit of shave crème. Swirl a minute or two till your lather whips nicely. Hands stay clean and dry. Then apply to face - again no need to get hands messy. Your video almost seems like a farce.
