The expanse is my favorite show, and is mostly the reason why I got starfield. Don’t know if the ship builder allows for such a massive ship, but it’d be awesome if you were able to design the MCRN Donnanger sometime.
You can do it with mods that delete size restriction

@@felismenari ive build massive ships with 200m length and the only frame rate drops are while in shipbuilder mode, gameplay performance is almost totally uneffected by ship and module size
There is a video with someone who built a Star Wars Destroyer, so it's doable.
This is your best build yet imo. not only does it look exactly like the one in the show, if someone didn't know it was based off the expanse they'd still think it's a great ship design
Needs a rail gun to 1 shot those engines from a few Km away :)
I agree, this is the iconic scifi ship. Rocinante survived more actual realistic battles than any other fictional ship ever
@@markcunningham2243 I'd love to see a railgun of that kind ingame! The ones available just don't live up to it. Could be a weapon with long range, really high damage but for balance reasons very long recharge time aka low fire rate so that it's dps doesn't break the ingame balance.
I'd also love to see some proper gattling turrets like they are used in the Expanse for PD. This game definately needs more dakka in dogfights 😅
I love your build!! However I made a couple small changes. I have 6 turrets (3 KE-42, 3 Maurader 115N Railguns) and I use 2 MKE-9 Guass as the in show rail gun. Also Aurora 13G grav drive reflects the light from the engines makes it look nicer taking off. I used white dwarf 3300 engines top and bottom for a fuller burner effect. That made it so I couldn’t use the nova nose for a hopetech thruster. Thank you for an awesome build! It’s an amazing platform to expand on!

I never watched the show but I was looking for a nice slick "motorcycle" style ship and this fits perfectly. Might add a few modifications but your build and guide rules!! 🤘

Probably one of my favorite shows and this was the FIRST thought when I saw that you could build a ship in Starfield! Great build. Thanks so much for demoing this for us! Once I get my skills and cash flow up, I'll definitely give this a shot!

Just make another character. There are plenty of XP guides on how to get really high level super fast, that way you don't have to worry about lvling, though you still have to get piloting up (easy in the flight sim).
Absolutely adore your builds Barden, they all look absolutely incredible and the best part is they actually tend to be highly functional in game, all of them I’ve built have ranged from solid to some of the best ships in the game. If I would make one request though it would be can you add the cost of the build to the intro bit where you talk about the shipyards? It would be nice to know how much to save up before diving into a build since you can’t save an unfinished ship. Keep up the amazing work!

I know this mod has no glitch-building, but you could glitch stack 3 or 4 of the round supernova engines right to the back and absolutely perfect the big single drive look of the rocinante. awesome build!

One thing I think could improve your videos is if you state what piloting and ship design rating you need for each build. Otherwise amazing stuff

Sure that would help. In regards to the piloting skill, you can always tell as on the ship system overview screen at the at the start of each video when he is talking it tells you the reactor class (in this case C).
I would, but to be honest, I don't know the answer to the levels required for the parts 😅
@@DrB048 That makes complete sense. Maybe just letting people know that some parts maybe level locked? I built the UNSC ship (which is amazing!) And I was really confused why I couldn't find certain bits. Other then that these videos are fantastic!!

Arrgghhh...I tried building this with a class B reactor, but it seems like the double stack of the C reactor is critical for the rest of the structure.

You can slap in a piece, like 1x1 hab to make it work until you can get the better reactor

lovely! only criticism due to the limitations of the game, is that the original one has a single nozzle. It's also a heavy chunk at 40 mobility. Better put those auto turrets to good use.

I would love to see you build on space engineers you can get alot more accurate designs of such ships once you get good with the blocks and also mods help as well for engines and weapon systems its on pc, Xbox and I belive Playstation

Never heard of the series but ive started a new game and boarded a CF Phantom at lvl 6 and after a few upgrades it does looks like this one, got some inspiration for next upgrades and expansions. I dont like making it very tall and im aways put the cockpit on the 1st lvl for easy acess.

As it uses C-class parts, yes. You will also need piloting to fly it. Rank 4 for both.

The expanse is easily the best space show and one of my favorite shows ever it’s 130 am and I’m in bed I’m literally gonna get up and build this mf right now , fly it around for an hour then go to bed (I’m in the army and have pt at 5am god damn you)

This can be modified into a Multi-beam Frigate from Homeworld: Cataclysm.
Also Another epic build I have built the battlecruiser for my warship the serenity for my ship hunter and just built the Mellenium falcon builds you have Ill be building the republic cruiser next then this

What was the in-game total price tag for this build just so I know how much I need to save up?
Mine was nearly 200k, but I didn't have any weapons, the correct reactor, engines or grav drive.

You should he able to substitute that out for something else as long as it has the appropriate snapping points.
