- In this video I have a day fishing at Lake Toolondo near Horsham. Lot's of brown trout were biting but the rainbow trout were a little quiet on this day which was unfortunate as the rainbows are actually a bit bigger than the browns in here at the moment. Here I show a few tips and tricks on how I troll Tassie devil lures for trout and a bit of an update on how the lake is going after its restocking from being nearly dry a few years ago.

Poor Zeph, missing a fishing trip. I remember catching Trout as a kid in Tolondo, 6lb. Good they're looking after the fish stocks.
Thanks for watching !
G'day Al you absolutely nailed it at Toolondo 💯✔️. Pity Zef couldn't make it. Was good not to see any Carp. Strange no reddies? Haven't been at Toolondo For a few good year's glad its Back. See you on the next session ✔️👍
Thanks for watching! I think there has only been the very occasional Redfin caught, doesn’t seem like there is many Redfin in there atm, the carp aren’t really too bad there but glad one didn’t take one of my Tassie devils lol !
Awesome to see Toolondo back in its glory.
Yes it's one of my fave lakes, I love it !
Hell of a session! Do you find the stinger hooks get better hook up rate?
Thanks ! There was other fish caught but not included in the vid otherwise it would have went too long lol.
I have tried many, many hooks on the tassie devils over the years and I find these Dancing Jacks in the Medium size work best for me and I find they improve the hook up rates for sure, thanks for watching !
@@wimmerafishhunters great info cheers!
Rain, hail or sideways snow, the lads will be out there in the wild on a lake somewhere hauling them in! 👍
Lol ! We love what we do !
Hows the algae? Even the Hopkins River here had some algae yesterday. I guess the rain water washing the cow dung into the water?
The algae is bad in a lot of places atm, very unusual for this time of year
Has anyone had luck land based
I’ve caught a fair few trout walking the banks and wading casting ambush soft plastics, rhubarb 2.5 inch paddle tails
