Who is the captain of your boat? Sometimes we try to do everything ourselves. This is more difficult than if we do it with Christ.
When we commit our lives to Christ, we can feel so much freedom. To people who don't understand, this can be seem impossible. But after committing to Christ, it changes. Some people think that they will have to give up so many enjoyable activities-maybe so, but after committing to Christ, these things will come naturally. Don't think one has to change overnight. These things take time, and the end result is worth it.
