- This is a remake of my last 2015-16 LFS review from April 2019. These batches of LFS' are certainly the most appealing than their older siblings. They were delivered to retire the 1996 Novabus RTS' and the 1999 Orion Vs.
Since 2015, I rode and look at these as if they are the durable Xcelsiors out there. Even when they were based out of East New York Depot, the run with the 2014-15 XD40s as a double exclusive that ENY was blessed with. Until March 2017, ENY had to give them up to Jamaica Depot for more RTS'. I wanted these to stay in Brooklyn. Well at least, I still get to see these outside of Brooklyn as to Queens, Upper Manhattan, and Staten Island. Then in late 2019, I get to see more in Harlem. And this year as the new decade through COVID-19, I get to see some more in Queens, Bay Ridge in Brooklyn, and Staten Island. On September this year, some of these from Staten Island came to Brooklyn as a loan for Jackie Gleason to run the B68. I wish to ride one of these again anytime soon.

See, now you have 2 bus reviews featuring you since May this year. Because, you are my biggest best friend. I miss my days in 2015-2016, having to ride these out of East New York Depot and on the B17. And today, I have yet to ride one of these and I am wishing these can come back to Brooklyn temporarily and permanently.

Elegant Toyota Driver 8090-8503 aren’t going to be my favorite since they don’t feature USB chargers. S79 SBS buses only has 2019 LFS.
Yessss thanks for the Review is the best I’m 15 I rode 2015 LFS 8406 and 8094 from Jamaica depot… but I did caught 8503 ones good times on the Q3 Q4 but my favorite is Q3 Q4 Q5 Q84 85. And Q17 out of JA

I saw some of these across Flushing out of JA and QV Depots on the Q17 and Q27
8090 is in Jamaica Depot
GH has 8356-57 because of the former JA XD40s, and most of them are at JA and QV Depot
And they are super rare and hard to find
9:02 These screens, unlike the 2014-15 XD40s, XN40s, XE60s, and the 2019-20 XD60s are similar to the C40LFs, LFSAs, newer XD40s, 2012-13, 2015-17 XD60s, XE40s, LFS HEVs, and XDE40s. Wonder if there will be a bus with a screen that does not look like these buses that I mentioned previously.
This bus is also the last bus fleet to have the old scheme

I caught MTA Bus unit 8459 on the Q3’

10:50 LFSAs 5439-5602 have the same feature, but only the rear doesn’t have the rear window unlike the Proterra BE40s. Also, no buses out of New Flyer feature the rear window or I will be like “Why does this bus have a rear window like the 2011 LFSs and the older LFSAs? Compared to the later units, they do not receive the back window because of its generation.” On the other hand, no CNGs buses have a back window because they need a vent.
These are made with more quality.
These are 100 times better than the Orion Vs.

Today, there are only 2 units at Gun Hill, 8356 and 8357. The 2017-17 XD40s from Jamaica Depot were swapped.
7:32 You can still see these buses in Brooklyn today, but only out of Castleton Depot instead of ENY because the S53/93 travel along the Verrazano Bridge and connect with the R train at 86 St.
I remember seeing these out of KB Depot on the Bx3, Bx7, Bx13 and M100

Good times with these buses when they were at East New York Depot. Always saw them on the B12 & B15.
Yessir, I think Jamaica Depot is one of my good favorite Depot's. Because u know I wanna become an MTA Bus driver! At that Depot running those routes the Q3, Q4, Q5, Q85, Q17, Q84, Q30, Q77'

9:14 These bike racks were also on the 3Gs but only run on the S53/93. Also, the NG HEVs at ECH Depot has these racks because the Bx23 and Q50 were assigned with them. The 2023-24 XD40s out of that depot should get the bike racks as well. And did you hear that some LFSs out of Yukon Depot also got the bike racks? If not, then I have made a video of one of the LFSs out of that depot with the racks. I also saw that there are some 2016-17 XD60s that have them as well, but only out of CS Depot. There are some 2017 LFSAs with the racks as well, but on the M60-SBS. I think the MTA installed these bike racks because these racks are to carry bikes over the bridge.
8155 also had a severe accident in Staten Island. However, the bus was later repaired.

2016? Makes me wonder why these never got the blue wrap
The reason is, it's way too expensive to converse. Also, they were contracted in 2014 when Cuomo hadn't thought about Wifi and USB port with the scheme yet.
