Starring Talya Çelebi and Cenay Türksever, "Gelin" is the life story of two people from entirely different worlds: Hançer, who gives up her dreams for her loved ones on the one hand, and Cihan, who has fire in his eyes on the other.
Hançer, who gets her name from her sharp gaze, faces an offer that will turn her life upside down. Taking advantage of the fact that Hançer is poor and has a family that will not cause trouble, Mukadder offers her to marry her son and give birth to a son. Hançer, who dreams of finding the love of her life and having a happy marriage, first rejects this offer, but when she learns that her brother has a fatal illness, she is forced to accept the offer.

The two main actors ( Cihan and Hancer) are very good looking. The storyline is interesting, but there is not much of dialogue. I feel their acting skills have not been utilized. A lot of standing and looking. I hope it will improve.

You are right about the dialogue. They should have more to say. The sister-in -law has too much.
You're right about way too may long pauses! It took her 5 minutes of looking at Cihan before she even moved to sit down by him. The ring exchange took forever, too! Please move the story along by stopping those long pauses.....

I hope Cihan protects her from abuse and that he himself does not abuse. I love Turkish series but I'm tired of the abuse. They look good together already.
Poor Hancer. Its truly disheartening that she isn’t surrounded by any woman who values her, has her best interest, or who truly supports and loves her. Her brother’s wife is insufferable.
My God I can't stand that God digging sister in law. She will sell her soul if possible . Notice how she grab that envelope of money. I doubt if any of it will go to her husband's health.

My goodness, can Hancer be any more annoying. Can you at least have her have some sort of an opinion, instead of just standing there with a dumb look on her face. Please writers wake her up, don’t let them treat her as if she’s a nobody.
Agree. Hancer sister in law is just a pain & so cheap , she make Hancer interested about money when in fact this poor girl is just drawning to make her brother last days filled with happiness. I think she will suffer before things get better.

Another week, another episode of people looking into thin air without saying anything! I have never seen a series that is this slow. Its been 4 weeks, 8 hours of the same thing ,the main characters haven’t spoken more than 10 minutes together in total! What a joke

I have to say that scene at the end of the evening cookout was hypnotic. When Hancer and Cehan were just staring at each other in silence was electric. You could feel the heat building, or was that me? lol

Looks like Cihan’s mother is planning on degrading Hancer as his wife by moving her into the rundown part of the mansion. To her Hancer is just a means to get a grandchild. Other than that Beyza is the one with the status of daughter in law. Seems that Cihan is still thinking himself husband to Beyaz so she is his responsibility. He says he wasn’t the one who wanted the divorce it was her. Will be interesting to see how Cihan manages everything and who he will spend his time with. Beyza will cause chaos every chance she gets manipulating Cihan to treat Hancer bad. I wonder how he will take it when he finds out Beyza’s reality. Will he kick her out for killing his child?

Io sto guardando la serie dal PC, dall'Italia. Serie molto bella , Cemil molto protettivo verso sua sorella Hancer che mi commuove. Beyza molto pericolosa, gioca a creare malintesi tra Cihan e Hancer. Spero comunque si sposino al più presto.❤❤

I’m not understanding why Mukadder doesn’t “allow” Sinem be a mother to her own daughter..? 🤔 Why can’t she go to her daughter’s school and talk to her teachers? What century are they living in? Whether the daughter was “entrusted” to Cihan or not, Sinem is still the child’s mother… being the child’s mother should be important.
That mother wants to be in control of everything.
She is a despot,her body living in this century while her mind is in the middle ages.
Apparently the rich in Turkey treat everyone bad. I’m yet to see many mother in laws like the ones from Kanunsuz Topraklar or Ramo.

Goodness so far this series is awfully painful to watch it's so slow that nothing so far come out of it , the conversation ares just full of nonsense & boring, all I can say is that hopefully the scenario will start to improve before it become a flop & boring , I am not sure but I wonder if others fans thinks like me. Please get moving if you want it to work.

Situazioni grottesche fuori da ogni possibile comprensione. Inaccettabili gli atteggiamenti, le pretese, le condizioni a cui Hancer deve sottostare. Abitudini di vita e mentalità che fortunatamente non mi appartengono e che mostrano quanto ancora alcune donne subiscono silenziosamente accettando destini che mai dovrebbero vivere. Spero in una trasformazione di questa donna che non può e non deve accettare tanto disprezzo e abusi che tolgono la dignità che mai per nessuna ragione dovremmo permettere di essere calpestata.
