This was the first song I ever heard from Manic Street Preachers and I loved it. Managed to buy the CD single and the album. It was a personal favourite for many years! Good memories!
Little bit of background: the band's main lyricist Richie Edwards vanished suddenly in 1995 and has never been seen since (he was officially declared dead a few years ago). The band weren't sure whether they should carry on without him, but came back in 96 with this album going in a different, slightly more commercial sound. This was the first single off it.
Please react to Ren - Hi Ren from an Independent artist here in the UK, you will not be disappointment, the video is One Take he's mic'd up and his further videos are just as good. As an Independent artist 7 months ago his album was competing with Rick Astley's album for no 1 and he did it..
"we don't talk about love, we only wanna get drunk" I like this lyrics
No surface all feeling
You might also like "Drug, Drug, Druggy", or "Roses in the hospital". ^^
“If you tolerate this your children will be next” is another classic tune of theirs and my personal fav.
My favourite also

Love this song! The official music video gives the song some context if you ever want to check it out.

Sure thing. I got your email and I've added the song to my list
Try some of James Dean Bradfield's solo tracks: czcams.com/video/3UeeS-m2ZtM/video.html or czcams.com/video/h1AxbsMVDEw/video.html
Great tracks but his last album “Even in Exile” is really superb also. “Boy from the plantation” & “Without knowing the end” I highly recommend
Try Faster next. Heavier and literally faster than the two listened to
Agreed. Totally awesome classic tune 👏. The entire album “Holy Bible” is outstanding
@@KevinKaffy my all time fav album

You are talking of the music BUT you are missing out on what the lyrics are saying to you/us ?
