i never read the books, yet i saw the movies, i started watching a lot of percy jackson things and over the time i started to picture annabeth with blond hair , and then i watched the movie again and i was like "wasn't her hair blonde-" then a friend of mine told me that the movie was like an unacurrate fanfiction and the books were a lot different and i'm still trying to get at least the first three books, though i still like the movies, i mean- they introduced me to the pjo fandom and i can't wait for the (bit more accurate) series in disney plus!!! I am one of the biggest Percy Jackson fans and I know that the show is more accurate but neither of them exactly follow the story line and Disney is trying to be more inclusive so a lot of characters are black or another race which is fine but the inclusivity takes away a lot of the main visual of the characters.

I feel like Percy should have had way more hair than he does because in the series he has really fluffy hair but in the movie he's like really close to being bald but not really. I mean the character is acting is great and so are the fight scenes. That's what I love about the movies. I've only seen the first one and the Sea of monsters actually finishing that one with my class cuz I'm in fourth grade

I think that's mostly because Rick said from the beginning that it's not about the looks and he just wants kids who can play his characters well, regardless their appearance. I mean we knew that they probably wouldn't look like they did in the books, so it's fine.

And the plot changes is because Rick wrote the lightning thief like 20 years ago with no plans made for the later books and now with the show he has the chance to make a plot with stuff setting up later books and changes that feels better in the show
