My one of first paintings was a Steven awake and a total failure. 2 years later painted a Steven asleep and he was so adorable. He did a really nice job rooting and painting!
My only suggestion would be to add a little more pink in the overall skin tone in the limbs but he did a really nice job. You learn what you prefer the more you paint. My instagram is called the same thing as this account if you guys ever want to chat, I’ve been reborning for 3 years now.

I think Steven needs a little more mottling.....he looks very pale. The veining looks good from what I can see. The rooting is VERY GOOD!!! Great job!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰

I usually do many many mottling layers to build up the realism on the skin . I love closed eyes too❤❤❤ plus closed eyes are much easier to root the lashes on. I’m available at any time if you have any questions I can hopefully answer for you and your husband. I have been working on creating the texture of the skin to feel real and I’ve been experimenting with little face pimples and scratches that newborns sometimes get, the creativity is endless and it’s so much fun ❤❤❤ your husband definitely has a natural talent xx I love that stroller, so cute !! Steven looks like he enjoyed his first bath. I wish you a wonderful weekend xx ❤
He did a really good job for his 2nd baby. ❤ as a reborn artist myself I’d suggest more mottling and make sure to do the creases. 😊 the eyes look a little too red to me for his skin tone. I’d suggest doing more layers of skin tone washes and add warm pinkish washes. Don’t do dark washes or mottling. Do thin layers to build up slowly. If it’s too dark on the layers it will not look natural. There’s a lot of videos on CZcams that you could learn from. That’s what I did when I was starting out. I’m sure his details are amazing in person! I know how different lighting can wash the dolls out no matter how well they are painted. The camera doesn’t show details very well sometimes. Just take your time. It takes time to learn. And no matter how long you’ve been painting you can still keep learning. ❤ I wish you the best of luck in your reborn artistry 🥰
He is amazing, love the hair, maybe just a little more peachy color in his skin, and little less red on the eyes. I'm not a fan of red near the eyes as I think it makes the babies look sickly with reddish eyes...other then that I think he looks perfect. You are so lucky to have a hubby that is learning to reborn. Enjoy!

i think your husband did a great job on him and I dont think theres anything he needs to improve on because every artists has there own style and way of painting and theres no wrong or right way of doing it you pretty much make your own rules thats what makes reborning so cool!
Hanging of the reborn is really good you could probably do a little less of the paint for the reborn’s eyes when you’re sleeping that’s the only thing I see everything else is perfect
