  • This was one of the most challenging days out decoying crows we have ever had.
The wind was extremely strong and the bird's direction of flight was very unpredictable!
We both struggled at times but with a simple change, the birds started to hit the deck.
I hope you enjoy the video. Please like, share & subscribe 👍

Cracking video buddy! Nice insight on your choke choice. I’ve been loving the 5/8 for vermin recently

Cheers lad! I was expecting better results with the 5/8 to be honest but I’ve had 4 outings with them now and it’s certainly not as good as the 1/2 through my blaser and pigeon selects.. that Caesar of yours has got better barrels than mine! Mine are worn out 🤣🤣👍

We can all have a off day, despite weather conditions, so excuses not needed for me a bit painful throughout the video

I do a lot of shooting like this it really helps your shooting I just mount out in front read the line and shoot. some birds even at the extreme ends require next to no lead when coming in. I shoot half or 3/8s at everything I wouldn’t want to shoot any lighter then 32g loads though that combination though as I find a 29g 6 too have too many holes in the pattern past 35 yards.

What do you do with your piles of crows and pigeons? Do you eat them?

Hi Rob another great video and nice piece about the chokes just wondering why you don’t use a semiautomatic for Corvids or Pigeon mate

Thanks bud! I prefer the extra weight in an over and under for my handling preference and find it a pain in the ass having to pick all the cases up afterwards 🤣👍

@@fieldsportswithspeed Used an auto for years but finally got fed up with picking up the cases and went back to the over and end….proper pain in the ass!
Nice video Rob, those corvids always look easier than they are.

Big wind up might need to tighten up the chokes IMHO 🐦‍⬛

Hard to kill those rooks and hard in the wind.
What are those decoys you are using?

Thanks Speed! Will have to try those, it’s good they have movement and not as bulky.
