It’s common sense. In order to cut Fed must increase money supply. That spikes inflation. Bond holders then require higher yield on long term bonds which will cause long term rates to go up, while the fed is dropping short term rates. The fed obviously knows economics and knows this. But, their purpose is to save a dying economy at the expense of higher long term rates, until the collapse happens - in other words the rate cuts are designed to “kick the can down the road” at the expense of a worse collapse. The final conclusion can only be that this is a controlled collapse, engineered as the great economic reset with the participants being the fed, well for me tho Bitcoin is the ultimate defence against a tyrannical government.r.....I've been engaged in active trading and managed to grow a nest egg of around 2.3Bitcoin to a decent 24Bitcoin....I'm especially grateful to Sandy Barclays, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

This global downturn could have long-lasting repercussions. Massive deficit spending has propped us up through what would have been a recession. Couple that with still tight labor market. FED cuts signal more liquidity coming into the market. Passive flows from 401ks etc need somewhere to go. FED and Treasury manipulation has turned everything on its head.

This time is the first time in a long while that I'm sitting out of NVDA earnings. Something will come along and cause a September selloff and it could very well be NVDA forward guidance.
The market is pricing in the RISK of a recession, which means buying of those sectors. Doesn’t mean that risk will actually happen. It’s going to be interesting though, whatever happens. 👍
When and how does the government pay back its debt with negative asset yields? Where does excess money that gets printed go in this worst case scenario?

I think its very possible to break it. But we havnt yet. Im not making the call that it breaks or doesnt. What I am saying is that i will be more careful if price does get under it

i agree. it is the Great Depression (caused by debt / FOMO) the Dot Com Bubble (cause by FOMO is tech) and the GFC (caused by FOMO / deriviatives). Next we get all three of those at once. So IMHO 5 times as bad as the GFC was.
