  • The 2024 European Parliament election was held in the European Union between 6th and 9th June. So me and my colleague, ‪@17_broadcast‬, decided to collaborate and make this compliation! Also huge thanks to other participants (especially to EdSplat & 17Media), who helped with this video.

    Hey, great compilation and it shows how much these broadcasters have or haven’t modernised the intros. The last one (SVT) was for me the best: Scandinavian design at its slickest! But you credited Slovenia without including its intro. I was expecting Markíza or JOJ from Slovakia but the next one wasn’t from Slovenia either; it was from Spain!
    Too bad SRG SSR and NRK aren’t in the EU though... ;(

      @finnswebsite Před 4 dny

      I agree about the SVT offering. Probably the standout here. But then they ruin all that effort with a clumsy, overly staged "walking towards the camera - look how busy we are" opening shot.

      Regardless of whether or not you've decided to hate the long overdue and totally necessary bottle cap change, kudos for including this shot. One - That was an inspired idea. And Two - it was executed beautifully.

    An interesting compliation but some intros are random intros after ad breaks or on the secondary rollong news channels, some shows are running after the national elections on Saturday (or other days) while some carry the European results on Sunday, and some are even not election broadcats but talk shows.

      A public broadcaster doesn't necessarily have to be government-owned, if they use FTA frequencies and can be watched by everyone with an aerial it's a public broadcaster.

    • @linmanfu913
      @linmanfu913 Před 14 dny +2

      @@Vinnytv7679That's not the normal English meaning. What you described is just a free-to-air broadcaster. A public broadcaster is required by law to produce impartial news and other programmes that serve the public, in the tradition of the BBC, ARD, etc.

    Me parece que el mejor espectáculo lo brindaron, para mi sorpresa, TVP INFO, TVN 24 y Polsat. En el resto vi más de lo mismo. Me sorprendió que Euronews no se luzca (ya ni se a quien pertenece, es como el TeleSUR europeo) y Rumania con su obsesión con darle un efoque hiperlocal.

    My favorite of these is that of ERT1's, ČT's comes second, then LTV's third. I really like how they pulled off the 3D graphics for theirs. LTV's especially makes Latvia appear to punch above its weight.
    I think Poland had the worst intros of all the countries here overall, even if we were to only select the intros of TVP, TVN, and Polsat. They don't seem very 2024.
