    Did you ever have oiling issues when you changed the angle of the M50 to 0 Degrees? Did it flow back properly ?

    Non-vanos m50 FTMFW. Forged internals and they love boost. ARP'S and a MLS gasket and your good to go. Is that i.t.b setup from an s50b32?? Looks sweet.

      We machined groves in the engine block to fit piano wires, then just used cheep OEM gaskets. It works really well on this engine ;)

    Thank you for not putting a 2J/LS. Thank you for choosing a BMW M50 Motor And Thank you for just being different.

    Hi. Let me ask you a question. Did you have problems adapting the bmw hydraulic pump to the Nissan steering wheel? I made the same swap, and it does not work very well for me. (I'm using a translator, sorry)

      Maybe its late the answer but u tried a Nisaan pump? Maybe a new model which has it, or a s14 can works. Good Luck with that project!

      Found the video today. I built this 12 years ago! I switch back to nissan steering pump. And made a new belt pulley for the pump.

    Shouldn't the engine be at a slight angle? Since most of bmw engines are

      Believe it or not, the slant bmw uses is actually somewhat hindering for performance and is used to lower the center of gravity and keep the hoodline low and long

    y spend all that money and put a weak engine in it then turbo it? Why not just go with the S54 from the E46 M3? 343hp stock for just 4k, turbo that and u will push over 400 easy!

    • @BenMcNulty69
      @BenMcNulty69 Před 6 lety +11

      because you can get an m50 for a lot cheaper than a s54 and its still a very strong engine. dunno where you got the idea that they are weak lol

    • @shahzeboy1609
      @shahzeboy1609 Před 6 lety

      because i own a the car they come from, but mines comes with the m54b30

    • @shahzeboy1609
      @shahzeboy1609 Před 6 lety

      iv done alot of research on them and concuded they are hard to make much power out of unless you spend alot, how much does yours push?

    • @BenMcNulty69
      @BenMcNulty69 Před 6 lety +3

      I also own the car they come from, except not boosted but I know them inside and out and you don't have to do much to make decent numbers. they are very strong little engines and are most definitely not weak. obviously if you want to make stupid power its gonna cost a lot of money but you can do very little to a stock m50 and easily make 400 whp which is plenty of power and fun.

    • @shahzeboy1609
      @shahzeboy1609 Před 6 lety

      what rough mods would one have to do to make such power, because every person i speak to or forum I read, everyone says theirs no point in spending money on them cuz they are hard to make power from.
