What I would give to see Brum look like this again: an exciting city on the move. Makes me sad seeing what it's become today...:(
Thank goodness for CZcams and thank you for posting.

Aged not yet eleven and in my last year at junior school back then. Takes me right back to childhood memories- visiting Birmingham during my formative years!

Great memories - anyone else remember the 'naughty' bookshop and the hole in the wall fish & chip shop on Hill Street ? Thanks for posting Paul.

I remember it for the arcade games, not ice cream. They had all the new releases machines straight away....The place was always packed out.

Have a walk round Brum now and do a quick head dress count . I think you will find we genuine Brummies have become overrun by foreigners !!! Go have a look it is now a GREAT BIG SH#T HOLE ! @@mrglide7078 It really really is . I don't recall seeing so many street names written in funny back to front squiggly writing which an English man would not be able to understand when I was there . The signs were in English now they are in a foreign language !! Is that not because there are more black / asian "people" than corkasian folk ???? Fact :- there has been a higher number of black/asians per corkasian person per head of Birminghams population for several years and even a person with limited vision can see that .... Are you totally blind ? If so I do forgive you for being unaware of your surroundings . One for the road ! What is the most used surname in Brum ??? Answer on a postcard or here if you like . Here is a clue . It begins with m and ends in d .. I hope this has helped to enlighten you . Thank you .
