To all the people critisizing their stage presence. Go back, watch the Shapeshifter live, and look at the guitarist's hands. Now go watch Flourish and watch their hands. That is why they can't jump around anymore.
It's staggering that these guys can play these tunes so well live - it's Tool level skill & groove but the genre this genre is..... TheContortionist Like no other band & been lucky enough to see them live in Australia, hopefully they are back South again after current northern hemisphere tour
They are playing way more intricate stuff since their early days so I take it requires much more focus as their music became much more progressive in nature.Sure its easy to act like gravity doesn't exists when all your stuff is on one string and basically playing Morse code.
woh there cowboy... comparison is nowhere near reachable with these two bands. Their styles are just way too different. I mean they both have literally created their own genre, just as all good bands do.
Not to be a downer, but ever since Dave left.. these dudes stage presence went completely down, and they don't even seem as excited to play this kinda music .
