Hi Karen, I am a Singaporean Chinese living in Singapore which is about 12-13 hours ahead of U.S. which I believe where you live. A few days age I had subscribed to TMR by email for your newsletter.

Dear Karen, thanks for your reply 2 years ago. Now I have another question for you. I'm 85 years old great grandfather of 2 kids. I suffered a near fatal motor car accident many years ago and underwent an emergency Lumbar surgery which cost me a footdrop on my right leg. Initially, it was not that bad as I could still enjoy my sporting and outdoor actives. According to my surgeon, it could take quite awhile through exercise to recover and be normal again as the non-recovery percentage is only between 3-5%. But as I get older it appears that I have had to live with it as western and eastern treatment did not seem to work, and today I limp even more and fell a few times. So Miss Karen, I would want to try TMR method, can you advise me what TMR exercises at home. Thank you in advance.

      Dear John,
It may be beneficial to be evaluated by someone who does TMR. You may even be able to work with someone remotely. There is a systematic process of assessment for your unique needs; it is not a cookie cutter approach. The short and very abridged answer is to test right and left side differences and see if exercising the better side makes things better. There is so much more to the approach, but that is a start.
Friendly reminder, our office does remote consultation via telehealth if you are interested! 609-584-4770

I wish you good luck and the best of health.

Dear Karen, thanks for your demonstration. I'm doing this stretching lying down and I usually do 10 repetitions. How many reps should we do that is the maximum allowed per stretching. If you do the left leg what about the right leg, no need to do? Appreciate to have your expert advice asap.

Hi John, we recommend scheduling a remote appointment with Karen if you are not local to our practices. Unfortunately, it is outside the scope of our licenses to give personalized medical advice without a physical therapy evaluation first. 609-584-4770

Karen, can this exercise be done lying down on your back as it would be easier than sitting on a chair? Thank you.
