      @Chaz from UK Rubbish I have currently got a e320cdi w210 and it's the most bulletproof car i have owned. At the moment it's at 410k km and running like a champ. The only thing you have worrie about is the rust. But nothing a full body reaspray won't fix, like i have done.:-)

      Chaz from UK - if you get a pre 2001 model you’re in luck. I’ve got a 1998 E430, just clocked 680,000 km. Costs me about £300 a year in maintenance. I’m not looking to replace it any time soon.

    • @hamsterox9216
      @hamsterox9216 Před 5 lety +3

      @Chaz from UK It was bad for you guys because you have rust and that era of Mercedes suffered for it because they were experimenting with environmentally friendly paint. But I don't know of any other car from that era that doesn't rust in your country. Here in Texas we don't have that problem, and I hardly ever see a rusty benz.

    • @hamsterox9216
      @hamsterox9216 Před 5 lety +5

      @Chaz from UK I've never heard that before, but yeah rust is an issue. Thing is you said they made their parts in China but I work on those era of Mercs and I've never seen anything on those cars made in China. It's all either German or Austrian, but sometimes there's stuff from Japan or other EU countries. Sucks yours didn't treat you well because every owner i've come across here in the US said they had a great experience with them.

There are literally reviews on Motortrend where they review car X and say it's great. Then car X mk2 comes out, Jonny is like "Remember the old car? It was garbage, BUT THIS ONE OH MY GOD blah blah blah..."

    I don't believe the reviewer ever heard of the astonishingly brilliant W124 E-Class. I presume his derogatory comments relate to the W210. I now own a W211 E350 AvantGarde. The build quality in some areas isn't up to the wonderful W124, nor is the ride of the AvantGarde's lowered sports suspension--but just like the W124 300E, the W211 E350 is a car that you easily fall in love with... the cockpit is so beautifully curvy with its real timber--and that's only just the very start.
