This was the final song of 9 songs she did on this contest, so in her own words - "I knew this was the final performance so I decided to allow the song to take control, body and soul" The result as you heard is spectacular! This technique is not unusual for Diana and she refers to it as "Singing in some kind of trance" She often has no recollection of the performance and it can take some minutes to recover and "Return to the present" Here is a little info about the song:- *The lyric writer and Depeche Mode band member Martin Gore explained that the lyrics were actually based on the autobiography Elvis And Me by Priscilla Presley. He said “It's a song about being a Jesus for somebody else, someone to give you hope and care. It's about how Elvis Presley was her man and her mentor and how often that happens in love relationships; how everybody's heart is like a god in some way, and that's not a very balanced view of someone, is it?”*
