Looked it up afterwards because I was curious. Tanner and Michael were right. An avocado is botanically a large berry with a single large seed in the middle :) you can grow a tree from it

A pit is a enlarged seed anyway
When chocolate turns gray like that, one of two things could be the culprit: sugar bloom or fat bloom. Sugar bloom is normally caused by surface moisture. The moisture causes the sugar in the chocolate to dissolve. Once the moisture evaporates, sugar crystals remain on the surface.
To add to this: blooming can also be caused by temperature changes, causing the chocolate to melt or sweat which separates the fat or sugar in the chocolate. It's still perfectly safe to eat, but the original texture will have changed. If needed, the chocolate could be retempered.

The white on the chocolate is called bloom which is when the oil starts to separate from the chocolate compounds. It happens when there are major shifts in temperature surrounding the chocolate.

Contrary to popular belief, a white film on chocolate does not mean that the chocolate is moldy. What it does mean is that the chocolate has suffered something called “bloom”. There are two types of bloom. Sugar bloom occurs when moisture comes in contact with the chocolate. Chocolate that you eat typically contains sugar. Sugar is made up of crystals. In eating chocolate, the sugar crystals are usually fine enough that you cannot see them or feel them on your tongue. Moisture that comes into contact with chocolate will dissolve these sugar crystals on the surface of the chocolate, but as the moisture dries or evaporates, the dissolved sugar re-crystallizes and is precipitated onto the surface of the chocolate, leaving that white, dusty look.
Fat bloom is more complicated and may be caused by a combination of factors. These include improper storage conditions, changes in temperature, or poor tempering (or lack of tempering altogether). When chocolate is afflicted with fat bloom, it may have a powdery white-gray or tan appearance and be soft or crumbly in texture.

love your vids but actually Matt it’s not oxidation it’s blooming! It doesn’t happen when chocolate comes in contact with air, but instead if its temperature gets too high and breaks the temper on the chocolate, sometimes sugar or cocoa butter can separate from the solution and settle on the surface of the chocolate. It’s also totally safe to eat! It might taste a little funny, but plain chocolate cannot get you sick, as you need water to grow bacteria or microbes and chocolate contains no water!

I know Dope or Nope is Mathias business creation, but I'm really having a hard time enjoying the new changes.
Tan man and Michael really provided balance. I started watching this at the beginning of Covid to get me through quarantine. I know I've watched almost every episode with this trio. I understand changes had to be made, but even letting essential to the channel staff go...now the new stuff is lopsided. I know Mathias is doing his best considering Covid...I really miss the energy Micheal, Tanner and even Roze brought to the table. I know a different direction and for some it's for the best. However, some people really aren't replaceable.
I'm grateful for the older episodes, but eventually many of us may move on. Either way I wish the best for all of them. You all are talented💝

btw Matthias the white on that chocolate is called bloom it isn't oxidation as much as climate change where say it comes from germeny where its cooler and goes to texas where its warmer it will cause a chemical reaction within the chocolate causing the bloom effect it does cause a slight texture change but wont hurt the chocolate overall
