I’m curious about the adjustable coil overs do you sell them separately…?

Kevin can a Buyer change the settings on the Controller to adjust the speed or is that something that requires the Dealer to do?

Yes you can, it’s cautioned against but If you are careful with the changes it’ll be just fine!

I like my Kodiak Apex golf cart but I hate the high pitched whistling noise at high speed. My question is what number setting do you have the brakes set at? I want to adjust mine for better stopping. I have the Navitas app installed. Thank you.

Is the whistling the AC motor? For better braking use a higher regen setting in the Navitas app

@@lakesidebuggies Yes the whistling is from the motor I guess that’s just the way it is and can’t be changed. I understand the braking can be adjusted in the Navitas Controller I was asking what is the number setting you have on the cart in this video? The adjustment goes by numbers right now I’m set at 40

My new apex is set for 25 because anything over that gives you a warning message and a disclaimer to agree to. Even so, once I get over 22 it’s “slows itself down” to 22 and will not go above that. I think I might have braking or something set wrong. Any ideas?

Jeff, I can’t help much remotely, however Navitas has excellent customer support and they can absolutely get you fixed up remote.
Create an account on the Navitas app, go to your profile and request dealer access, once gained, call Navitas and ask them to upload a fresh 10.873 update for Kodiak.
Another possible reason for the slower speeds is that you may possibly have a 4k motor in your cart. It’s somewhat difficult for a person who has not seen both motors in person to identify but there should be a sticker on the motor somewhere that identifies what you have.
If that’s the case the 4k motor is not as powerful but it does not mean it’s the end of the world, call Navitas tell them what motor you have and ask if they have a up to date parameter file for that setup.
I literally just had this programming issue after selling a Kodiak I used to make a video with last week!
I called Navitas to get a 100% fresh copy of the newest update, Uploaded the non corrupt file version and my customer is cruising around happily since!
Lastly I will say this. I know it’s very tempting to make changes to the settings on the app, refrain at all costs, changing your speed has been completely fine. Changes to amperage output, throttle control, throttle ramp ect, have all caused major me issues with the stock file. I have had to upload a fresh version of the firmware file to fix every cart I get brave with and try it on.
Luckily at the end of the day, both Navitas and Kodiak offer excellent customer support and stand behind what they sell 100% so rest assured that you’re in good hands.
Hopefully this was helpful, please make sure to sub to the channel, we will make more Kodiak content soon

Can the controller be password locked so teenagers etc. can’t mess with the speed settings?

    • @lakesidebuggies

Great question, it can be locked via the on the fly controller we carry, it’s actually a physical key.
