Ah yes, I remember opening Tome Scour 14 years ago and thinking "this card is clearly meant to be used on myself so that I can infinitely fuel graveyard shenanigans". Magic is wild. 💗
And that Twiddle is actually seeing competitive play for basically the first time since Alpha.
As a Twiddle player, I do recommend the one ring version. It still is running the tome scour combo, but is running 4 of ring to have a way to win without the graveyard, which was the biggest problem with the deck. Only down side of running the ring is no ad nauseam, and that, because you have protection from everything with the ring, you can't target yourself with tome scour.
So basically even though the ring has no synergy with the deck, you still include it because it's just so good. Got it 😂 #bantheonering

You can untap it with twiddle to draw lots of cards
the problem is bowmasters
I think Ad Nauseum is much harder for Bean deck to react.
Even opp has Endurance, a resolved Ad Nauseum should provide enough resources to overcome 4c sb to this deck
@ralr The ring has so much synergy, it's literally a win con for the deck. Most decks are running hidden strings to untap both ring and lotus field, and bowmasters isn't an issue because you can bounce ir, bolt it, or just play another ring to gain protection again.
What you can do with wishclaw talisman and Twiddle is that you can activate the talisman then in response to it you Twiddle it to untap and tutor more times that way.
It's sorcery speed no?

One day, one day they will ban the evoke elementals, and Modern might start to become a bit more enjoyable. What an absolute fucking mistake they were.
Modern Horizons and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race. F.I.R.E. design hasn't helped, either. There have been more bans in Standard since Kaladesh to the present than the previous 20 years combined (basically the start of Standard as a format). A lot of these cards have polluted newer formats like Modern and Explorer.
how do you win with the ooze when yo're dying of topdecking?
You forget that you can also dreams grip or twiddle your talisman when the activation is on the stack, using it a second time.

I briefly played a Bryant Cook build of this deck while Lurrus was legal with baubles and inquisitions. Really wish those 8th Ed. Twiddles were black border in paper...
Izzet Charm looks clunky to me. Were there any games where it performed really well for you?
Charm is in the deck i imagine because its a way to fill your GY with Twiddle/field/breach without scour.

I'm new to magic as was wondering where I should start I want to dip my toes in Magic the gathering
Can go about it a few different ways. My recommendation is start with Arena and try standard. Look up some budget decklists (few rare wildcards needed to complete). Then build a collection from there.
Other options include MTGO (which this video's game is played on) for pauper or budget builds, going to a local game shop that does deck rentals, or just finding some friends for casual commander games.

It's balanced because everyone plays scam.
Ehhhh....it has like 5+ different decks in any given top 8. It's technically "balanced" in that the format is diverse. It's just balanced around MH2 cards or decks people hate playing against.
Personally I quit the format when MH1 was announced because I felt like they went against their promise of filtering cards through Standard first. Unfortunately, I thought maybe the format would improve or MH1 wouldn't have much impact, so I didn't sell all my Modern staples. That turned out to be a mistake lmao 😭😭
At least Legacy isn't complete shit at the moment. I don't think WotC is crazy enough to try and power creep cards like Lion's Eye Diamond, Dark Ritual, or Brainstorm because they'd basically have to print cards equivalent to the Power 9 for that to happen.
@@nekrataaliI am 100% certain they will power creep the cards and be it power creeping them out of the format, see bowmaster vs brainstorm. It is just a matter of time.

How is the modern format balanced when one deck wins 21% of all tournaments when before MH1, no decks were above 5 or 6% ? i honestly don't know what can be done but something has to be done

@@devanbrowne8706 make it a serious issue let wotc know that leaving modern to rot is a bad idea, for example dnd (wotc also owns that) had a super bad change and the community made a lot of videos and a lot of players threatened to quit and they changed it back

MTGO absolutely fails as a spectator sport. It's so much more difficult to follow along as someone who is returning to MTG after decades away, reading cards & descriptions & such is just shit on screen.

I definitely feel the whole magic feeling stale with how the formats have become, that's why I went to yugioh's Edison format for a bit.
