I was a salesman calling on Walmart starting in the 70's. I used to see Sam and his red Ford mornings at the Holiday Inn restaurant stopping for coffee. Wish I had been smart enough to buy their stock back then. First time I met him I was sitting in their tiny waiting room back then and this this man came in and sat next to me and was asking us how business was going. I thought he looked familiar and finally realised it was Sam Walton himself. Never expected to see him in the waiting room.
That is super cool. Thanks for sharing. It is remarkable how much this company has grown! I just wish Sam was still around. He would have them carry more Made in America products.
