I teach elementary and middle school special ed students. These ideas are great for my kids because they are tactile learners!
Exactly what I was thinking! I know I was always (and still am) a tactile learner, so I love seeing more tools like this for students!
Love the poppers. I use the bracelet popper bc it has them in a row for segmenting ❤️

Super informative video. Thanks for the impressive explanations!
I have a large shoots and ladders game board that I made on a $ store white shower curtain. I use this for everything. My students love it. I also use a large deck of playing cards with some extra cards thrown in to make it interesting, ie: ypur boat landed on the rocks go back 2 places. You helped the mermaid go ahead 3 places. LOL
Do you have a photo of your game board?
I loooove your videos! Thanks a lot for your help :)

You look and sound a little like my aunt. She is very cute. ♥️
very interesting thanks for sharing.
Wonderful!!! I use ink letter stampers to create words! Magnetic letter for sure!
Great tools
Love from India 🇮🇳 😍😍
These are all great ideas! I love using magnetic wands, sand trays and vowel tents/sticks to name a few.
My first graders love anything hands on.
We use the magnetic wands to push the chips for individual sounds. Then blend the sounds by swiping the wand over them. The wand and chips are both magnetic so they attach as we say the word. Similar to your concept of the fidget toy.
For my sand trays, I’ll say a sound then have students repeat sound and write letter in the sand.
Thanks for always sharing fun, engaging activities. I look forward to your videos every week.
Good
Where do i find the links below you mention in your video of which tools to purchase. I use the finger pointer
wands for skywriting! I only have 5 so it’s given to my best listeners.
I use small letter dice. Vowels are red. They roll 3 dice and sort according to real or nonsense word. They write the word in a chart.
Hi Susan. I s it possible to teach literacy using the sound phone on your on line class?
Hi Susan! After teaching CVC words, what do you teach next? Silent E, digraphs, etc,? Thank you!!
Use Word Their Way lessons they help students with learning spelling sounds lists in nice order.
Digraphs or consonant blends
We teach silent e next.
Digraphs , blends, then silent e
Great
