    Hi I have a 2011 fiesta and have the same problem, i got it checked by a mechanic and advised either i spend a lot of money for a new abs module or just leave the problem and just to drive carefully since abs is not working anymore. My question is, if I leave the problem would it cause any harm to the vehicle?

    I have a doubt, I have a 2011 Ford fiesta and the front right caliper is stuck, but there arent any code, just the brake the caliper stuck, what it could be? Maybe bad caliper or one valve inside of the abs is stuck...

    Hi my friend . I have got a working tested part, complete part from ford UK same serial numbers etc. I took it to a garage in Thailand, pattaya , that just plugged in and said, it's no good , bad code, I believe they did nothing.
    I took it all back. ( I saw the part tested in the UK, taken from a vehicle with no codes)
    Anyway, could the error codes be eradicated by replacing the electric module only ??
    I have no facility other than a Ford garage to bleed brakes and pump.
    Thank you
    Many blessings happy songkran

    My Ford Fiesta 2011 had a trouble code U0423 for a months ago. I didn't give an attention for it since the car is running normal condition. Recently, I noticed the brake in the front left was sticking up. The fluid pressure won't release even I released the brake pedal. I checked already the piston on the caliper and fluid lines but everything seems fine.
    My question is. is it possible that the ABS ECU was the cause of sticking up the brakes on front left?

    When you reinstall the module. Do you need to bleeding the brake oil and add oil? Or it is just plug n play?

    • @FatHead1979
      @FatHead1979 Před rokem +3

      Yes, you need access to either Ford IDS i.e. a Ford dealer or Forscan on a Windows device, so you can use the 'ABS bleed" functionality. The traditional method of bleeding the brakes won't work because it won't include the mechanical area of the ABS module that are now full of air. The 'ABS bleed' functionality opens each section in turn i.e. a caliper at a time, and pumps brake fluid through to push out any trapped air.

    Hello sir, I've got a 2016 ford fiesta sports(push start). I have 3 lights on my dash one of them is the abs,traction control and the brake light on. I was wondering if you could give me advice on which parts of the car could be causing this problem. I don't have a scanner tool to reset the codes. Do you think this could me a bad abs module? It would me a lot to me if you respond to my message. Thanks in advance!

    • @carscarscars186
      @carscarscars186  Před 2 lety

      The only advice I can give you is visit a Ford specialized garage (or a dealer) and ask them to run diagnostics on your car. It can be anything from blown fuse to abs sensor to abs module itself.

      @@carscarscars186 firstly thanks for responding. I am planning on taking this to the dealership but i don't feel safe driving the car for 10 hours in the condition that it's in. I live quite far from the capital. You've mentioned something about being able to drive the car without the abs sensor. If i were to remove it while i wait for the parts or maybe ship you the abs sensor would this be safe to drive? And does removing the abs sensor get it of the acceleration lag for the time being? And i apologize if i am naming the parts wrong. I'm currently in the Philippines on vacation but i normally live in the states where good me mechanics/shops are only a stone throw away. Thanks again
