Do Squirrels Like Poetry?

I’m sharing a video of a poem I’ve shared in the past titled, ‘Instead of Depression’. This time, however, I’m reading the poem to my Squirrel Friend as the poem begins with the line, “instead of depression, try calling it hibernation.” I’m a bit sad about anticipating not seeing my Squirrel Friend as often when the cold weather arrives, so the poem reminded me of her and her awesome self. I’ve been reading her poems almost daily lately. I’m not quite sure what she thinks of them. I googled, “Do squirrels like poetry?” and couldn’t find an answer. It's funny in a way. Squirrels are the cliche of distractions for those of us with difficulty focusing. And here you are, making it beautiful, serenading the chaos.
