For anyone who's unaware the voice you hear at the end is the Rangers' long time radio broadcaster Eric Nadel who has been with the team since 1979. Most Ranger fans have been listening to him for their entire lives. While seeing the Rangers win the World Series is satisfying for us, getting to hear the joy and catharsis in Eric's voice is somehow better. This championship means so much to so many people, but the best part is seeing all the people who have watched and covered the team over the years get to experience all of this.
As a Ranger's fan, it was a dream of mine to hear him call another World Series. I never thought I'd actually get to hear him call the Texas Rangers winning the World Series. I'm a fan of him just as much as I am a fan of the Rangers, and no one deserves to make that winning call more than him. I'm so glad he came back in time, after his stent off, to be able do this. Great comment my dude.
Anytime my dad wanted to leave a game early to avoid traffic we would listen to it on the radio on the way home and that was his voice i would hear, i got goosebumps hearing him say Ranger's fans you're not dreaming.
I was so happy for Eric and all the Ranger fans (including myself) who've been around for years and suffered 2010-2011 of that heart break. I'm still enjoying this!!
I am one of those people that you mentioned. I have waited 50 years for this moment. As I listen to Eric's call, I can't help but hear the voice I grew up listening to on the radio side, Mark Holtz, hello win column.
That was the only bad thing about it
The one play that was left out that should’ve been included is Garcia’s 9th inning catch in Game 1. It was like redemption for Cruz’s missed catch in 2011.
Funnly enough that game was the 12 year anniversary of the game in 2011

I just wish we could have heard " Hello Win Column! " from the late, great Mark Holtz. They were my youth on WBAP. My Pa used to take me to Arlington Stadium and pay $4 bucks a piece for outfield seats. By the fifth we'd be behind 3rd base. Good times, bad teams. Great times with a great team.
@@DickJochs-sz1hy Mike Holtz left right before I really got into Rangers baseball. As a kid I used to listen to the radio while watching the game on TV. Drove my mom crazy.
@@smdre Before HSE ( Home Sports Entertainment ) the Rangers didn't have big cable following. I listened to every game on WBAP 820. Then they signed with HSE and we were introduced to the great Norm Hitzges. A legend in his own right.

I don't think Sborz gets enough credit. He had a poor regular season, went on the IL, but showed up for the playoffs big-time. Ten appearances, 12 innings, 4 hits, one run, and 13Ks. That last outing that closed Game 5 was superb.
His curve balls were unbelievable in the 9th inning.
The rangers defense is an overlooked aspect to how good of a team they are didnt committ a single error with several outstanding plays

So many (millions and millions) Rangers fans cannot believe the Gods of baseball allowed the Rangers to win the World Series. Pitching has been the problem forever. The new dome has changed the dynamic, too.

Leclerc deserved to close the clinching game. You always let the closer that got you there finish it.

Sborz was dealing and Leclerc said in a post game interview that he was dealing with some shoulder stiffness. It's a huge redemption arc for Sborz - he was loathed by Ranger fans throughout the regular season for blowing leads and then puts on a clinic in the post season.
He wasn't feeling good and couldn't pitch, had to be used in so many games to close, it would have been a difficult close. Thankfully Sborz was ready to finish it!
I think personally this is one of those many amazing pitching calls by Bochy and Maddux. Sborz was dealing at the end of that game and he stuck with the hot hand to close it.
